"You didn't earn this armor! You didn't earn my reputation." – #BobaFett to #JodoKast

Written by Andy Mangels, "Twin Engines of Destruction" was first published in four issues of Star Wars Galaxy Magazine (1995-6), before being a single one-shot comic in 1997 by Dark Horse

The fan-favorite story is getting yet another reprint in "Star Wars Legends The New Republic Omnibus Volume 2" (June 2024), just on the heels of a 2024 reprint of the old "Star Wars Legends Epic Collection: The New Republic Volume 1" (out next week)

The subscriber variant cover for Empire Magazine's April 2023 issue highlights #TheMandalorian Season 3 and features a familiar helmet on the bottom right – one just like #BobaFett but with different scuffs and a narrowed t-visor

While it's a Lucasfilm-endorsed exclusive issue, and had Lucasfilm providing assets according to the magazine editor, this cover was done for the magazine by Jacey (see https://jacey.com for an incredible portfolio) and it may or may not be a confirmation that Fett has a moment or two in Season 3, beginning March 1st

"Although #BobaFett is a very experienced bounty hunter, he's not experienced at running a criminal syndicate or managing forces. He's not normally a newcomer. He's an expert as we see him in most areas. But in this case, he's trying to transition to another position." – Jon Favreau

"We'll see a lot more of (Boba's) true character in this season. And you'll definitely see him have to turn 'barbarian mode.'" – Robert Rodriguez

#BobaFett appeared on the cover of #StarWars Gamer #1 in 2000 with this art by Martin French.

At the bottom of the table of contents, an aside read as follows: "Why feature Fett on our first issue? Duh--as if you didn't think he was the coolest dude this side of the Sarlaac Pit!"

(Editor's Note: "Sarlacc" is the correct spelling.)

The short-lived magazine focused on RPG, video, and card games. Fett appears in at least three of the ten issues.

#TriviaTuesday: Remember the surprise of seeing #JodoKast unmasked by #BobaFett?

This panel comes from the game-changing comic "Twin Engines of Destruction," which originally was published in four issues of a now-defunct #StarWars Galaxy Magazine from Topps. As you may know, Jodo Kast was a competing bounty hunter who pretended to be Boba Fett -- to whomever was paying the bounty. The comic was written by Andy Mangels, who also coined the name Jaster Mereel, which was since change up after the prequels, and even since has been coined a "legend." #

#JodoKast and #BobaFett faced off in "Twin Engines of Destruction," a 4-part comic in 1996 in the short-lived Topps #StarWars Galaxy Magazine. The story was written by Andy Mangels, who also wrote the initial Jaster Mereel / Concord Dawn backstory, since thrown out the window by the prequel storylines.
