Before the cameras rolled on #BobaFett actor Jeremy Bulloch in "Return of the Jedi" (shown top center in a candid moment circa 1982), at least three other stand-ins were on set in his place: Quentin Pierre, Roy Beck, and Jack Dearlove

As noted on various call sheets for the original film, well documented when they go up for auction by Prop Store, these actors were stand-ins for several characters and even on screen, like Quentin was one of the Bespin guards escorting Solo in Carbonite for Fett in "Empire"

It's unknown if any of them suited up for camera or lighting tests, but nice to appreciate their role in production history

The 2010 book "The Making of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back" is filled with incredible details like how, on this day in 1979, the late Jeremy Bulloch had his first fitting.

Also, in 1979, the cost to build the Slave I (miniature) was $15,000, which adjusted for today's inflation would be over $50,000.

The work done on Temuera Morrison as #BobaFett in #TheMandalorian (plus other characters) has a "Best Special Make-Up Effects" nomination in the Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylist Guild Awards next month

Samantha Ward, one of the show's makeup artists, had this trivia to share: "The creatives did not want to see typical burn scars and kept focusing on an 'acid burned bleached' quality to the skin, because of the Sarlacc's digestive acids. The final look utilized multiple pieces of Op-Site medical tape to create sections of textureless patches with highly wrinkled edges. Fourteen various scar and burn scar prosthetic transfers were placed all around Tem's head. Both Brian Sipe and Alexei Dmitriew spatter washy layers of Ghastly, Cool Tone and "Co-Oliv_Ice" (a custom mix that Brian makes of Cool Tone / Olive Adjuster / Rice Paper) tattoo paints from Skin Illustrator over the scars, and lightly over the whole head. This would reduce or kill any cheery warmth his natural skin tone had. More Cool Tone, Pastel Yellow and a Light Sienna striations were used to enhance and and create a unique quality to the scar tissued skin."

#TriviaTuesday: Remember the surprise of seeing #JodoKast unmasked by #BobaFett?

This panel comes from the game-changing comic "Twin Engines of Destruction," which originally was published in four issues of a now-defunct #StarWars Galaxy Magazine from Topps. As you may know, Jodo Kast was a competing bounty hunter who pretended to be Boba Fett -- to whomever was paying the bounty. The comic was written by Andy Mangels, who also coined the name Jaster Mereel, which was since change up after the prequels, and even since has been coined a "legend." #

#ThrowbackThursday: #BobaFett appeared on Mos Eisley in Docking Bay 94 for a few moments alongside Jabba the Hutt, Han Solo, and the Millennium Falcon.

Some trivia: Fett's left shoulder is mysteriously missing its usual symbol; the armor colors more so resembles "Jedi" rather than "Empire," even though that would be out of order (unless Fett perhaps carries multiple sets of armor with him in the cargo hold); and, making the rounds again online, this appearance would connect the possibility that Fett actually torched Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru, later warranting Darth Vader's comment to Fett later on, "no disintegrations" (this time).

Jeremy Bulloch portrayed the original #BobaFett. He also had a cameo as Lieutenant Sheckil, the Imperial Officer in #TheEmpireStrikesBack who uses #PrincessLeia as a human shield. "One day I was sitting around in the Boba Fett outfit, and I was asked if I would mind playing this Imperial officer, because there was nobody to play the part. I went into wardrobe, got dressed in an Imperial Officer's uniform, and played this part who now has a name in the Decipher card game, Lieutenant Sheckil. It was in the scene in Cloud City where Princess Leia says 'Luke, it's a trap' -- I drag her away. Moments earlier, you see me as Boba Fett shooting at Mark Hamill." -- Jeremy Bulloch, as quoted in Star Wars Insider #49 (May/June 2000)
