#ThisDayInHistory: Ben Burtt, responsible for the sound effects of #BobaFett and his ship, was born on this day in 1948.

"To create the sound for the Slave I, Ben Burtt did what he always did whenever he had to create a sound for a spaceship: look at how the ship was designed, how it looked like, how fast it would move, and what it could do. For the takeoff sound of the Slave I, Burtt combined a trumpet's whine with the horn of his own 1971 Dodge Duster while it was on a desert road." -- StarWars.com

In this clip, he's shown with Duwayne Dunham (left) who wore the Prototype Boba Fett costume for a screen test, hosted by Ben.

#ThisDayInHistory: #BobaFett had a cameo in the #StarWars Special Edition, which premiered on January 31, 1997!

Mark Austin portrayed Fett. Steve "Spaz" Williams directed the second unit shot. Fett's recognizable left shoulder armor was accidentally on the wrong shoulder. You can hear Mark talk about it here: https://youtu.be/CGvJSiaIHBs

Fett's shots were filmed on December 6, 1994. Watch part of the rare making-of here: https://www.facebook.com/bobafettfanclub/videos/10154810597837244/

"Fett's Not Dead" is a new #BobaFett-inspired design, now available on apparel via TeePublic: http://j.mp/1XVRvms

The design comes from BluGhost aka Ryan Spencer, who makes the "Mini-Wars" #StarWars figurines, and has a design giving a nod to Image Comics' The Walking Dead #48. (Footnote: Is Boba Fett dead or alive? In the new canon, it's neither. See http://j.mp/BobaFettDeadOrAlive for the Fett facts since 1983.) #StarWars #BobaFettFanClub

This photo by DavidPickering (Flickr) features the 2010 LEGO #BobaFett figure. But of the many #StarWars LEGO editions, not all had a face like this. Back in 1999 when they first released a LEGO Fett, he had a removable helmet, but it unveiled just a black head piece -- without a face -- truly suggesting he was (still) a mysterious guy.
