Young Mercenary, Boba Fett

Preview 7 of the Revenge of the Sith Star Wars Miniatures game includes Boba Fett. Is this a sign, or did they run out of adversaries in the RPG? Special thanks to visitor PhotoShogun for the tip.

Jango Fett was known throughout the criminal underworld as the best bounty hunter in the galaxy, the embodiment of physical adroitness and agility — so well regarded, in fact, that he gained the attention of the Separatists. On the moons of Bogden, Darth Tyranus approached Jango with a unique proposition. Jango would become the template of a clone army, in exchange for both a sizable fee and (as stipulated by Jango) an unaltered clone of himself.

Jango raised the unaltered clone as his son, Boba Fett. According to Jango, he wanted the pleasure of seeing all that he himself might have become if he’d grown up with a caring father and mentor.

Sadly, Boba would be denied this same chance. Jango would be struck down by Mace Windu during the Battle of Geonosis.

Boba Fett, Young Mercenary may be a stripling of his 50-point Rebel Storm version. Nevertheless, his stats are suitably impressive, and he’s already begun to show the skills of a true hunter: including the Bounty Hunter +4 ability, as well as Accurate Shot and Double Attack. Even a young Fett is not to be trifled with.

Oddly enough, other Miniatures previewed at wizards.com include the icon on Boba Fett’s shoulder.
