Today, some television broadcasts featuring the news of a significant Star Wars auction in which Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber sold for $200,000 showed a clip of Luke fighting Boba Fett in Return of the Jedi. Was it an accident that Boba Fett made primetime?

Maybe some television producers are Boba Fett fans.

Or else Lucasfilm was responsible, providing broadcast and online news outlets with Luke and Fett as motion picture, or in a less-dated case, Jango as publicity still.

The only online record may just be CNN, with first up in illustration: George Lucas and Fett, of the Jango variety.

The items were offered by Gary Kurtz, VP of Lucasfilm from 1973 to 1981, who producer of the first two Star Wars films.
