Boba Fett Fan Club was invited to another roundtable (Group 3) with the Hasbro Star Wars team today and we got a little more clarification on the timing of two upcoming Boba Fett action figure releases. “The Book of Boba Fett” Retro Collection figures don’t have an official release date as of yet, but Hasbro told us these figures should be available sometime between Fall 2023 and the beginning of 2024. As for the Vintage Collection Boba Fett’s Throne Room playset that was originally scheduled for a September 1 release in the U.S., the new September 15 release date shown on Hasbro Pulse is correct. Look forward to getting that soon, U.S. collectors!

We also asked how Hasbro chooses which items to re-release, like The Black Series Boba Fett (Prototype Armor) helmet that just went back up for pre-order. We found out that it often depends on, of course, demand from fans and retailers, but also the company’s capacity at the time, according to Jing Houle, a Star Wars brand manager at Hasbro. Houle added that there’s always a balance to be struck between re-runs of products and any new items that are coming to the line. “Don’t be quiet if you want something!” Chris Reiff, a design manager, added, saying that the company uses social scraping and other proprietary tools to find out what items fans are asking for.
