Cavan Scott is writing a comic series about The Acolyte’s Kelnacca. He spoke with Joonas Suotamo, who played Kelnacca and Chewbacca, about what a Wookiee Jedi would be like.
There will also be another round of High Republic Marvel comics featuring Kelnacca and Keeve Trennis.
Tessa Gratton is writing an untitled YA novel featuring Jecki and her least favorite fellow padawan, Yord, releasing in July 2025.

She’s writing an adult novel about Vernestra Rwoh set ~20 years before The Acolyte.
Hasbro is also releasing a Black Series Vernestra figure!
Tessa Gratton, Justina Ireland and Cavan Scott, authors and architects of the High Republic books and comics, are now onstage!
“That’s this game: What is freedom to you?” Gonzalez said. She also remarked how excited she is that she was able to bring a Latina female protagonist in the Star Wars universe to life.
Jay Rincon plays ND-5 in Outlaws, the droid. He said there is a musicality to droids that he paid attention to when voicing the character. His motion capture suit included the famous trenchcoat that’s gone viral, but it was made from a fishnet material.
DBB voiced Nix watching the motion capture and fully animated footage during post-production. González said he brought the character to life when she finally heard Nix’s noises.
Dee Bradley Baker remembers seeing the cantina scene as a kid and drew his own scenes of all of the creatures. He creates voices for creatures using R2 and Chewbacca as references.
Dee Bradley Baker is doing Nix sound effects as an introduction, very apropos.
Lucasfilm suggested the time period of the year between Empire and ROTJ for Outlaws when the game studio came to them.
