Johnston who was an artist for Lucasfilm throughout the original trilogy. He was involved with designing Boba Fett.

Also, in Season 1 of "The Mandalorian" (2019), there's a salute in the air between The Mandalorian and the Heavy Infantry Mandalorian. This mid-aid scene is a nod to "The Rocketeer."
