Independent filmmaker turned blockbuster director.

Involved with bringing Boba Fett back along with Jon Favreau in Season 2 of The Mandalorian. Specifically he directed Season 2 Episode 6.

In an interview shown during "Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian - Making of Season 2," Robert Rodriguez talks about being an original Boba Fett fan.

According to Ming-Na Wen, he's the showrunner for "The Book of Boba Fett." According to Temuera Morrison, he also directed at least one episode of "The Book of Boba Fett."

Note that usually a showrunner for scripted dramatic television is also the lead writer (source), but Robert Rodriguez was not a writer on the show. So this title for him on TBOBF may have been a public relations move, since he was the biggest Boba Fett fan of the creative team involved.
