In the "Aftermath" trilogy (2015-2017), the author kept it open ended when this character finds and wears "familiar" Mandalorian armor that's acid damaged (like from the Sarlacc).

In Season 2 Episode 1 of "The Mandalorian" (2020), it's clearly confirmed to be Boba Fett's post-Sarlacc armor. His jetpack damage is repaired. His helmet is pretty worn out. But a lot of his other pieces are present like the gauntlets and jetpack, repurposed to still fire off rockets.
