Captain Phasma is a new character in "The Force Awakens" who leads the First Order's legions of troopers. She wears metallic armor and has a cape. Casual fans often mistake the new character as Boba Fett.

In an October 30, 2015 [http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/movies/la-ca-mn-sneaks-gwendoline-christie-20151101-story.html interview] with the Los Angeles Times, the actress behind Captain Phasma, Gwendoline Christie, brought up Boba Fett in an answer:

<blockquote>Of her role in "Star Wars," Christie can say only that though Captain Phasma is a supporting character, she will exert considerable force on the story. "She is a Boba Fett-style character," the actress said, "which means she makes a lot of impact but she's not at the forefront of the action all the time."</blockquote>
