"Twin Engines of Destruction" writer

Author of The Essential Guide to Characters, where Mangels included "Jaster Mereel" and "journeyman protector on Concord Dawn" backstory for Boba Fett -- all of which has since been revised.

(The name "Jaster Mereel" was invented by Daniel Keys Moran.)

Mangels also authored the comic series "Boba Fett: Twin Engines of Destruction" (1995/1996), which had excellent writing about Boba Fett, such as the line "this is my face." The storyline involves Jodo Kast vs. Boba Fett.

He also wrote an article called "Just Who is Boba Fett?" in the one-shot Boba Fett magazine and "Boba Fett: Mystery Man in Not-So-Shining Armor" in Star Wars Galaxy Magazine #1.

According to his web site, he is one of the strongest forces in writing about Boba Fett in the 1990's, a time of revival with the re-releases with the Special Editions, often working with the Star Wars Galaxy magazine and the information on the backs of their Boba Fett posters.

One story of his that was never published is a "Twin Engines" sequel entitled "Jodo Kast and Dengar: Preying For Time."
