First revealed on June 9, 2019 in advance of E3 2019. Originally scheduled for October 20, 2020, but postponed until Spring 2022. (Prior to this new date, it was bumped to Spring 2021 as of August 27, 2020 according to the official gameplay trailer.)

Deluxe edition includes a Luke Skywalker with Blue Milk minifigure and "6 Character Pack" DLC bundle (The Mandalorian Pack 1, The Mandalorian Pack 2, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, classic characters, Solo: A Star Wars Story, and Star Wars: The Bad Batch.)

The game uses the names Jango Fett's Starship and Boba Fett's Starship instead of Slave I.
