Overview

Available May 28, 2021 at 9am Pacific / 12pm Eastern from the artist's website (no longer available), East Side Comics (no longer available), KRS Comics (no longer available), Black Flag Comics (no longer available), and Mutant Beaver Comics (no longer available).

Text (trade dress) and textless (virgin) versions.

This is an homage to Star Wars #42 (1980).

Spoiler alert: Boba Fett is only mentioned in a little bit of text in the comic. He's not shown.

The artist, Mike Meyhew, had this to say on Instagram: "WAR OF THE BOUNTY HUNTERS is capturing the imagination of STAR WARS and comic fans. I couldn't resist one more classic homage to a key STAR WARS cover that's near and dear to my heart. I first experienced THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK at a newsstand in a Walgreens looking at Marvel Comics Official Movie Adaptation with art by the legendary Al Williamson. To me, it was the ultimate portrayal of a cinematic STAR WARS story on paper. This adaptation was serialized in main STAR WARS title and issue #42 featured the first appearance of the notorious Boba Fett."
