Topic: Boba's Love Life

Okay, so a few weeks ago I read bloodlines and couldn't put it down.  Call me crazy but I loved the way Karen Traviss made Fett so personal.  And now that his marriage is official and such, I think Traviss should at some point write a short series detailing how Boba and Sintas met and wed and why exactly he decided to leave. What about any of you?

p.s. Sorry if this has already been posted.

There's only one Return, and it ain't of the King... It's of the Jedi.

Re: Boba's Love Life

I think he left because he knew he was putting them in danger since he had so many enemies.

Re: Boba's Love Life

Yeah, but in bloodlines he states he also didn't really know how to be a family man since Taun We and Zam were the only female influences he had. I just think there's prolly a lil bit more to it.

Re: Boba's Love Life

Boba married? That's just wrong. I haven't read the book, but honestly I don't think it's in Boba's nature to get married.

Re: Boba's Love Life

It's not like he can't love. Jango obviously gave him that much. But I guess he was trying to be to Sintas, who he did admit to have feelings for, what Jango was to him.

Re: Boba's Love Life

Boba really doesn't strike me as the type to love anyone, let alone marry them. I know he probably has the capacity to, but anything past a business relationship, I really can't see happening.

I'm rather curious about Bloodines, I'd like to soo how the author pulled of a Boba relationship.

Re: Boba's Love Life

I would like to see more about Boba and Sintas myself.  I'm sure Karen might give more details at some point in the future.
Yes, I would agree that he really wasn't brought up to be a family man as he was a clone raised by a single father with no marriage relationship to observe while growing up.  NOT saying anything against a single parent family--I'm an only child from a single parent household myself.  And I can totally agree to that thinking--I'm married with kids and it is not easy for one who was not brought up in that environment to adjust to.

For all Fett fans, I would strongly suggest reading Bloodlines.  I read the book and listened to the audiobook--truthfully, it's one the best EU books I've read.

Bottom line--he is human.  Emotions are a part of being human, no matter how deep they are buried or how much they are avoided.  I too at first didn't like the idea of him at one time being married and having a family, but I'm starting to see just how that could have attributed to make him into the character we like so much.

Well he did get married, when he was 16 I believe.

Back when he was young and somewhat inexperienced.

Re: Boba's Love Life

Yeah, he got married when he was 16 and Sintas was 18.  And I'd have to agree that this did have to have some influence on the way he turned out also.  Perhaps after this was when he became so determined not to have anything more than business relationships with beings.

Vor'e, ner vod. smile I mean, look at Boba's past. He lost his father at a really young age, tried to be a Journeyman Protector and failed, fell in love but it didn't work out, had a daughter that hated and wanted to kill him, lost said daughter, lost his wife, and is considered dar'manda. Not to mention the sarlaac incident. I cry for the guy.
