bats is still around ,,,but I do get caught up a bit ...alright I'll confess ,,hooked on
the Bowie Board  but I do come back
   Merry Xmas to all ,and have a great year ahead
I received a lovely book it's Metal covered with Celtic workmanship with these dark Yellow  Stones
found a poster Book,,with Boba Fett in it ,so on each page I have put my favourite things stuck in it
along with emails,notes,spelling words I forget,addresses etc. all I need to find to put in the
Dragon of Eragon  LOL!!

Why do people object to xmas? "It takes the christ out of christmas" But X is Chi, the first letter of "Christ" (Christos) in Greek. But hey, not my place to say i guess.

And Merry christmas to all, Happy Hannuka to some, Happy Kwanza to others, Feliz Dia de Reyes, and Happy New Year.

I find the phrase "X-mas" blasphamous. Most people say "X-mas"  because it is easier.

I've never actually heard anyone say x-mas. I've seen it written hundreds of times, but I don't think I can remember a time when I heard someone say "Merry x-mas!" And as I stated above, it still keeps christ in christmas, so I see no reason why abreviating it would be such a problem. Blasphamous sounds a little harsh.

So as DX would say... We Only Got Two Words For YA!!!!   Merry X-Mas!!!

I agree with Fetterthanyou about the X = Christ in greek.

On a sort-of side note, I would like to say that I'm proud my store's playing songs like Silent Night and Joy to the World (even What Child is This I think), when stores like (was it K-Mart a year or so ago?) take care to erase the word Christmas from even non-Christian songs. And we're closed on Christmas, we close early Christmas Eve.
