I don't think there needs to be a strict age barrier. Rather, a maturity one. You shouldn't want a boyfriend/girlfriend because "everyone else has one", thats a really stupid reason. You should actually care about the person before taking the big step to boyfriend or girlfriend. Not because they're pretty, or popular. Nor because you think someone has to love you. No one HAS to love anyone. True love is unconditional. If you feel needed that badly, for gods sake get a PET.

I am biggest believer in dating when you are ready. I didn't date in HS, or even most of college. Part of that wasn't voluntary though, as apparently i was undateable. I dont know what the deal was, not being a man...

Being a very masculine, burly, and manly man, I shall provide insight.

Obviously it's the presence of another man in your life - Boba's a hard person to measure up to. Most guys are probably just intimidated.
