Topic: Imperial Commando

Karen Traviss has officially announced that she will write a 5th book in the Republic Commando book series! The title is Imperial Commando, and judging by the name of the book, I'm guessing that it will take place during the Empire.

Now in the RC book series, there will be:
Hard Contact
Triple Zero
True Colors
Order 66 (comes out on September 16th)
Imperial Commando (Comes out at an unknown date, most likely 2009)

Karen Traviss also announced that she will write a post-Legacy book featuring Boba Fett

Meh, i think they should all dissapear/die in order 66, not delta though. Or they should join the alliance to restore the republic.

I think Darman would be devastated if that happens. I think they will either smuggle her out or as you say she will die... but I hope not.

Yea, poor Dar would probably be inconsolable...I just wish that she would have left the Order when she had the chance. She woulda been safe then.

If Etain does die it might make Dar think beyond his squad for once. You know, there's more to life than just his brothers and I think they're starting to see that.

I get the impression that there will be a face off between Delta and Omega squads. It's building towards that. Perhaps Etain's life will be in the hands of Delta squad...

I was thinking the same thing, because it looks like they are starting to feel different about some core issues. The end of True Colors made me think that Delta would be loyal to the Chancelor much more so than Omega squads ( and certainly not the Nulls) who are loyal to Sikirata ( i don't know if I spelled that right) and their brothers first. 

Order 66 could also finally answer what happens to Sev ( I think it was sev....) at the end of the RC game. That would make my day.

I am so excited! I really can't wait as the RC books are truely my favorite out of all the EU books. And so a 5th book totally makes my day. Oooh I'm so excited Im going to go home and start reading them again!

I think we can count on Omega not joining the Empire. They like the Jedi too much to serve with their murderers. Maybe Delta. Or a whole new squad. I wouldn't be surprised to see that. Whatever the case, I'm psyched, though not shocked. She knows how popular these books are.

I say they are popular for good reason. I've read a lot of SW books in my day and hers are very well written, especially when you compare them to other books. I think the action is more beileveable and less cheesy.

Yea...I have been hoping and praying for another Repbulic Commando game (not that i enjoyed the first game). And this will hopefully either set a second game in motion...or they are already planning to make it and they just aren't telling anyone (that would be cruel).

I have got the books but I have been so busy that I have not read them yet. I will start reading them as soon as I finish the book that I am on at the moment big_smile

That's awesome. RC series is my favorite in the SW universe, I'm excited to see it continue on.
