Learn to laugh at yourself Green.  It was a funny joke that Ralin made.  He thought your topics were random and made a joke about it.  And you took offence to it instead of laughing it off.  I'm pretty sure had you just laughed it would have stopped.  Try to find some humor in every situation.

Yeah I agree with you Sev.

My bf can like to tease at times, but it's never mean. He is not a mean person.

I agree, Ralin is a very good guy

And Green, listen to what Sev said because he's right.

I like coins, I have a small collection. Some state quarters, and I even have an ancient roman coin. And shiny coins are cool.

wow green, what the hell kind of country do you live in? here in the US we've got shiny pennies back from the 90s and 80s, let alone 2008. i've got two from the 20s (with the Caesar leaves on the back instead of the Lincoln Memorial), and they still have a bit of luster in them. and i collect state quarters (almost got em all).

He lives in Britain. They don't have US pennies there.

I thought they just had Pence, or something. I know Canadians have pennies. I think the pictures he posted were US pennies, though.

lol. Not anymore a secret if people visit my portfolio. I just tend to hide my real name when I am online. I like your real name too, doesn't seem so common to me. I don't know many people called Callum around me. Must be specific to where you live.

Re: Do you like shiny pennies or coins?

Yea I don't know any people named Callum either. I love to hear of original names smile

State quarters? Yeah my bf showed me some of them, and we have province quarters up here in Canada.

Fett II, at my daughter's school, one of her teachers decided to ask the children to collect their pennies then bring them in school, then put them together for an organization that gathers money to help research for sick children. Well, just with the lame pennies, just that teacher and her students were able to gather and offer over 2,000$ this year.

Yea when I grade school, we would, every friday, collect "Pennies for Babies" (as they called it) and every week we would collect anywhere from $200 to $300 each week

Re: Do you like shiny pennies or coins?

oh i know, i've done similar stuff to that. i heard on the radio that this girl compared Wal-Mart prices to other stores to show that Wal-Mart really does have lower prices, and she got funding for notebooks and stuff for her school for a whole year, free of charge from Wal-Mart. this was a few years ago.

Re: Do you like shiny pennies or coins?

You just think there lame to try and act cool.

" Pennies are lame.... ( Grunt ) I think I'm cool. ( snort ) "

Jeeeeeeeeeeez! wink

Pennies are not lame, so get it in your head.

Re: Do you like shiny pennies or coins?

Green, be nice please.  "[...]so get it in your head." isn't a nice thing to say to people who just try to participate to your threads. When you say that, you force your opinion on someone and it's not a way to treat your equals.

No one here is in a position to receive orders or other things like that from you. I am saying this to help you get better with your relationships. I am sure if you really tried, you could do better.

Re: Do you like shiny pennies or coins?

Sorry.

I don't like sometimes people not liking what I like, it's stupid and more sad then, so I'm sorry Fett_II.

Forgive me?

I don't mind if you don't.

You also had reason to minus me... sad smile

Ok then. Maybe not apology accepted, but it'll do. wink smile

I like them for being worthless.

I like them more for adding up in hundreds and thousands and millions non-stop.

I love them even more for being Shiny and SUPERSTITIOUS....... ( wooey voice )

Re: Do you like shiny pennies or coins?

Pennies can not be superstitious, people however can.

Oh well, I don't think they are, but I put it anyway.

I think Oak Tree's are superstitious.

It's like when your walking through a small wood or forest, they seem to have faces that watch you as you go.... neutral

Re: Do you like shiny pennies or coins?

Allow me to rephrase myself. Inanimate objects can not be superstitious, people however can.

Come on, man. Play nice. BFFC is international.

I started and stopped collecting coins around age 13. Almost had a full set, I remember, of like 1950 to 1990 but not every one was clean.
