I dont think that counts as a video game.

I think someone just got a little confused over the conversation. The thread is titled "favorite video game" and if you're not paying attention and just see someone posting "nintendo wii" you'd think that was their answer to the thread question, and not an answer to a previously posted question inside the thread. I guess that's why we use the quote option to answer these questions so no one's confused.

each level doesn't take an hour, but they sure as heck don't take ten minutes either. especially if you play the way i do like when i play the force unleashed, and destroy everything i can to get extra stuff in order to bring the game closer to full completion.

Do you play Animal Crossing? Its a game where you live in a town and spend the day interacting with your animal neighbors and decorating your house.

Well, even though it was a very long time ago, I used to play a lot of Pilotwings64. Fun times, but I exhasted all possible means with that game long ago. I'm missing a few perfect socres I think, but I lacked skill in getting them.

Ghostbusters looks like a rent, if anything. Doesn't look bad, just doesn't interest me, funny as the movies I've seen were.

Just picked up Assassins Creed yesterday, and am loving it. I've heard it gets repetitive, but I'm close to the third of nine targets, and its not bothering me yet. Its a ton of fun, and a very original game--the story and the setting make for a great game, and fun gameplay adds to it.

I don't know, something about being able to run around of the rooftops of Jerusalem, Damascus, and Acre, looking for some one to interrogate, pickpocket, or eavesdrop on, so I can assassinate some slave trader or Templar, is pretty awesome.

Very awesome game.  The monotonous thing about playing, is trying to find all the flags in the different cities to get those achievements.  I found this site, that really, really helps.

It shows you where the flags are at, plus, you can check off which ones you already got, since it'll probably take you a few days to get them all.  Just make sure your browser isn't set to delete all your cookies whenever you exit out of the browser, and it'll save the ones you've already checked off.  It also shows where all the Templars are at, for that achievement, as well, but it doesn't have check boxes for them.

Shame, no one has so much as mentioned the MGS Series...by far my favorite. Remind me to snipe you all for that later... Halo 1-3 are great, although the 13-under crowd on online multiplayer get on my nerves though, takes a bit of the fun out. Call of Duty 4 has excellent replay value, online and campaign. I also have recently picked up Army of Two, which Ralin stated earlier is a really fun game when you have 2 people to play with.

Um, I have no idea what the Wii version is like, or much about the Wii period, so its hard to say. Assuming its similar enough to the 360/PS3 version, story and gameplay wise, I'd say so. Also depending on how much you're willing to pay. But buying used at Gamestop gives you a week in which you can return it, or it used to anyways--you could look into that option.

I just know Wii versions are often pretty different from the other consoles versions, so I have no idea--maybe youtube gameplay?

Thanks Werda. Tried on youtube and couldn't find any better than a fake Wii ad, so I guess we'll have to rent it and see. The other versions seem really cool, even for the first, but the sequel seems like pure eyecandy. I'll have to see if they'll have a PC version our machines here can handle.
