This pic you had there is the closest I've seen to what it would actually look like.  I know it has the Mandalorian leg and shin armor, but it's still close enough.  Awesome stuff.  Thanks for giving me a better visual of what it supposed to look like.

Awesome pics you have there.

Thanks and, no problem smile

If I might make a suggestion that would go over great with lots of fans.  Heck, I think Karen Traviss would even be tickled by it.  If you ever read Triple Zero, I think the coolest pic you could ever do from the book, would be from the end of the book, where the one Clone Trooper says he wished he could take a picture of them all.  It was when they were all suited up for the mission.  The Commando's were in their armor (Delta in their regular armor and Omega in their black Stealth armor).  Kal Skirata was in his sandy Mando armor and Walon Vau was in his black Mando armor.  Then you had the regular clone trooper that was with them.  The one young Jedi boy, who was also in Mando armor, and the young Jedi girl, who had Clone trooper armor on under her robes (much like Obi-Wan in the Clone Wars cartoon, I imagine).  Ordo, with his red ARC Trooper armor, and Mereel in his blue ARC Trooper armor.

That would look totally sweet, I think.

Oh, thanks! now that you mention that scene, yeah it could be really cool if I can depict it on paper... Just give me a month or something (inspiration is really lacking at the moment).

So, are you joining the Marines?  I think the Air Force is definitely more fair to females than any of the other servies, but of course, I'm biased.

Seriously, though, there's a mixed group of Marines and Navy here in Biloxi, and I have noticed that we treat females better when it comes to career oppuritunity.  I assumed from your other website that you were based out of Europe, though.  England or France, maybe?

France. I'd be joining the territorial army, and since they've gone all pro I'm applying for transmissions linguist... Not too exciting or anything but a carreer is not really what I want... if I can, I will take it but my personality disorder is that I like doing 2938405 different things at the same time.

Do they actually have U.S. recruiter's over there?

That's unthinkable, considering the Frenchiness of the mentality around here wink

You can always sign up for the romantic Foreign Legion.

They still have that over there, don't they?

Your pictures are very good, have you ever thought of pursuing this as a career or do you like it as a leisure pursuit to relax?

Yes I've thought of making a living out of it... but the SW artist market is so huge at the moment, I don't feel myself ambitious enough to hassle with the competition smile

Yeah, I mean you don't want to end up with a job you hate. Just do it on the side if you're focused on the territorial army.

Sadriel _ Fett: What are looking at in the Air Force? I would like to try for cryptologic linguist. It seems challenging, but worth it. I forget what you have to score on your battery, but you have to basically ace it.  I was looking at a couple of different recruiter offices and when we went into the Marine one, they just stared at me like I had sprouted two heads and gone purple or something. I was dead set on being a Marine, but my mother wouldn't let me even talk to the Marine recruiter. So, I began looking at the Air Force and got really interested in it. How did you get interested in it?

Re: Mando & Trooper fan art

Ok, I'd like to thank you all for the encouragements smile But I have been hearing "Become an artist!" all my childhood from my friends and family, I might be contradictory or something but being an artist fulltime really doesn't sound exciting to me... Ok, I like drawing. But damn it takes so much time sad Completeing 1 piece takes me 2 days straight, only taking short breaks for food and naps.

I'm already 23 and I need to make a living out of something. Becoming an artist, getting exposure, earning money off of it takes ages and I just can't afford it. Besides, doodling doesn't require much energy, I can still do it when I'm 50 or 60 or even as a retirement hobby wink

Atin: it sucks to know your parents don't approve of your interest for the army. But it's totally understandable from their part. You're still a little girl to them and they don't wanna see you grow up too fast.... My advice: keep your master plans to yourself, it's all a matter of timing wink

Can't tell til you try smile When I actually have a "serious" activity going on I'll see if I can combine art with it. At the moment it's my "void" moment: no inspiration for anything. I just play the guitar, rant in my blog and watch dumb sitcoms while drinking tea.

I had wanted to be in the military since the 5th grade.  I was always facinated with tanks, until I saw an A-10 tear one to shreds just using it's nose mounted machine cannon, not even using missles.  Then, I decided I didn't want to burn to death in a tank.  They're death traps.  That's a crappy way to go.  I never narrowed it down to the Air Force, though, until 11th and 12th grade.  The only J.R.O.T.C. they had in my high school was Air Force, and I had gotten more interested in earth science and astronomy by that point, so the Air Force was more geared for that.  For the cryptological linguist, was it more for computer stuff and code breaking, or did you have an actual language in mind?  I know they're always looking for the more exotic languages all the time.  Not the more common ones.  There are plenty of people who speak German, French, Italian, etc....  They need more Slavic languages, and especially now, they're looking for Arabic language speakers and any other Middle Easter languages, for that matter.

Thanks Deanna!! You're stuff is excellent!!

I do have another Mando in the works, but I haven't worked on him in a while...my artistic urges come and go...I just need to kick myself in the rear and get it done---I do enjoy it a lot, it's just getting started that gets me sometimes.

Re: Mando & Trooper fan art

I had art lessons while a grade-schooler, took art in junior high, did not do any art stuff in high school (concentrated on sciences), then my final major in college was/is art.  It takes practice--teachers tell you to draw everyday--I need to, but I don't do it like I should.

The pics shown are done in Prismacolor--a combination of colored pencil and crayon.  Rise of the Mandalorians took me about a month to finish as I didn't work on it as often.  "Bounty Hunter at Work"--the gauntlet pic---took me less time, but I worked on it more often.

Thanks for the compliments!  It also helps when you are like totally into the subjects of the work!  hehehe

Re: Mando & Trooper fan art

Ohhhh--he' s not perfect... his character is!  hehehe --just not my drawing.  I see things I could still work on, but  Rise of the Mandalorians is actually my first drawing of the armor.  I did have to use reference pics.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh--Darth Maul would be good one to do!  I also would like to draw a stormtrooper/clonetrooper---Daenna has those down! hehehe

Clones are easy smile Stormtroopers are... not that easy, I think. The helmet is much more complex and has those curvey things and lines that are so different from the original clone helmet.

This reminds me I haven't posted a sketch work I didn't complete. Here it is. I stopped working on it a month ago. The jawa is holding a holographic pod (supposed to project a photoshopped flower hologram) and the guy is handing him credits. It's a kinda complex picture and I don't have the courage to finish it tongue

Hey!  I'm a clone now....hehhehe---

Thanks ARC! smile  I've got to work on more.    Daenna--I like the coloring in your work---I really need to get my hands on a PhotoShop program.

wow--ARC--you can really message Karen Traviss???

Daenna--I like that sketch!  Dewbacks look great!  I have not even attempted any creatures thus far.  Faces--great work!  I am not good with faces so that's why I stick with the helmeted figures for now.  I need to practice.  I think your stormie helmets are very nice!  Yeah, I understand that!  I have a sketch I have not worked on for some time...I'll post the link to it too...I'm not done yet--obviously the guns are just basic shapes right now.
