((Nope. Always had deep green.))
Xan ducked sharply as the lightsaber hummed over his head, he then made a half turn and slammed his clawed foot into Former Inquisitor Starjammer's chest, sending him flying back and most likely cracking a rib or two. The other Jensaarai, apparently the leader made a vertical slash at Xan, who rolled and killed his last remaining body guard. Starjammer had recovered and now moved in to surround him, the mandalorians held their fire, their blaster trained on Xan as he was forced back against the giant transparisteel view port A low chuckle came from one of the mandalorians. "Looks like you have your self trapped." The leader of the Jensaarai slowly moved him, lightsaber at his side. "I win, inquisitor."
Xan's feet had been modified, now clawed, useful for gripping things, and also climbing. He dug them into the deck. He looked at them, his photo receptors glowing ominously red "No. You lose Jensaarai." He smashed his electrostaff into the view port, the weak shield meant to keep stray shots from destroying the view port overloaded, and deactivated. The blast shields that were supposed to spring into place in the event of a breach did not, as they had been prematurely disabled. A deafening roar sounded, as emergency lights flashed. Xans cloak billowed in the explosive decompression as everyone on the bridge, alive and dead was sucked out into vacuum flailing wildly, searching for a hand hold. Xan spun his electrostaff once more, and the blast shields finally closed on the bridge, leaving Xan alone in the darkness.
*@ A_A - did you just have V_M, his father, and crew sucked into space?? if so, I can post the rescue*
((Do not interfere with ze plans))
Aliyah felt the destruction of the former command bunker. She had protested leaving with the others, but some were just not as experienced in battle, and she left with them to protect them. But she felt like she shouldn't have left. Her instincts were telling her that she needed to be there. So she turned to go back to what was now left of the bunker. Surely someone, hopefully Solus, had survived. As she neared the rubble she saw two other figures standing amongst it. She opened her self to the force to feel these beings back, and to her amazement they had strong force auras. She saw the silhouette of a Mandalorian get up from the debris and remove his helm. She recognized his aura too, Solus. So she ran up to them, eager to find out what going on.
A moment of shock grips me as rapid decompression sucks us all out into the void of space. I instantly feel the deaths of the Jensaarai, including my own father, in the force. I am gripped by terror as the decompression robs me of my anguished scream. The suit I've built and modified seals against the cold vaccuum of space and I feel my temporary lifesupport kick in. It still feels dangerously cold, whether it be the shock of the Jensaarai deaths, the sudden loss of my father, or the lack of heat in space.
A swift passing flight of Predators rips past me. I propell myself towards the decrepit Shadow's hull with the force and activate the magnetic clamps, adhering myself to the surface.
Things are bad. My HUD screams all sorts of warnings about failing systems. I breathe and I know my ribs have broken. The suits IV drug system sdministers emergency painkillers. I know that will seriously hamper my abilities. Time is running out.
The battle over Mandalore rages fiercely.
I begin my slow, arduous walk towards the nearest possible access point.

THE IMPERIAL ORDER'S PEACEKEEPER FLEET FLAGSHIP "OVERLORD'S SHADOW," OVER MANDALORE,
Ensign Sein Corvesh knew it was bad out there. He was in serious trouble and knew that he had no clue about how he'd get out. It was his misfortune that on the eve of battle over the planet Mandalore that he would be stricken with a severe case of diarrhea.
More unfortunate for him that he was posted on engineering detail at the moment a particularly uncomfortable bout of diarrhea struck him. He'd made a deal to get coverage from a fellow Ensign, and was uncomfortably expelling his malady when the first explosion shook the vessel, followed by blasterfire and then silence. He waited for a long time, not daring to leave the refresher, for fear of what he might encounter.
His most unfortunate circumstance was the sound of an angry humming nest of insects louder than anything he'd ever heard. Then with the floor around him and the toilet being carved by the unmistakable red glow of a lightsaber, he knew his fate was sealed. He felt the intense heat, and paralyzed by fear, could only watch as the blade completed its circle. Then he felt the toilet and himself fly up towards the ceiling.
"This is how it ends..." was his only thought.
Then nothingness.
As Tanis conversed with Solus Shiv noticed a figure coming up to them. He expanded his Force sense and was taken aback by what he saw. A jedi. He nudged Tanis and pointed him in the direction of the newcomer. Like always Tanis was unreadable.
The black clad PK trooper monitored his twenty-three fellows as they continued to dig in. Left in charge, the clone sergeant had given up watching his radar monitor every second due to the lack of any threatening movements from the barely readable contacts that had been out there. For the most part he’d been concentrating on preparing a working defense.
This damn jungle is playing hell with this thing’s range he griped to himself. Normally it would be able to cover a much larger field of…
“CONTACT!†he shouted. “12 O’clock!â€Â
The squad instantly dropped their tools and dove into their still shallow trench work, weapons beaded on the jungle ahead. The X86 gunner trained his weapon from one cover-spot to the next waiting for some movement.
The trooper in commend alternated his gaze back and forth from the sensor display to the treeline ahead of him. The threats on the radar display had grown dangerously clear, and were less then 100 meters ahead just out of site in the jungle ahead, and they were getting steadily closer.
The sergeant switched to his long-range comlink. “Commander Griffin, come in.†Static was the only response. “Commander Griffin, we have enemy contact as LZ Alpha, comeâ€Â
*CRACK*
The clone sergeant felt no pain, but a hard punch in the back sent him forward more then a step, leaving him frozen in place. From the corner of his photo-receptor’s left filed of vision, he could see a translucent shape lift, then form into a armored fist and blaster.
* * *
Ralin thrust his wrist blades into the sergeant’s back with all his might. The crack of the trooper’s lower back plate, and spine, was very audible. At the same second, Ralin disengaged his cloaking devise and raised his left pistol at the heavy blaster’s gunner.
“Looking for us?†he asked as he squeezed the trigger. The gunner took a direct hit to the side of his helmet before he could fully turn.
As the commander Ralin had stabbed fell, the other four Mando’s who’d also had sensor dampenors opened fire. A few of the PK troopers jumped up, only to be gunned down by snipers in the treeline.
Ralin blasted a pair of troopers who tried to rush him, and picked off another. Putting his boot into the fallen sergeant’s back as his team finished the last of the PKs, Ralin pulled his wrist blades free, cracking the black plastoid and a couple ribs as the jagged blades were extracted.
“That was too easy†Cabur said. “They’re no match for us on the groundâ€Â
“Don’t get cocky†said Ralin as his blades snapped back into his gauntlet with a *shing.* “Destroy everything. And do it quickly in case they had friends nearby.â€Â
Cabur and a couple of the others nodded, turning their blasters, flamethrowers, grenades, and other weapons on the assorted gear left by the invaders. Soon all the sensor and command post equipment was in ruins.
With a wave of his hand, Ralin led his team back into the jungle to friendly lines...
Tealani and Resh had to make their way down the cliff the old fashioned way. They found the two Jedi pointing at someone and discussing something. "Maybe they see something they like, you know like off the infomercials."
Resh shook his head, "Jedi don't buy stuff."
"How do you know, they might have loads of bling under those robes." Tealani joked.
"Next time I kill one I'll check for you," Resh grunted.
"Brilliant, but right now these two are our allies," Tealani reminded Resh.
"Right, remind me not to tick off the wookie." Resh said although Tealani got the feeling that he wanted to test his luck.
"Let's talk to the boss," Tealani said and left Resh to do the talking or more appropriately, grunting.
Tanis watched as the Force sensitive being walked towards him, Shiv and the Mandalorian. She was a human female, short blonde hair, with striking eyes. She got close enough so that the dust from the explosion didn't deter Tanis from seeing her face, but with Tanis' hood up, She could not see his.
There was abn awkward moment of silence as Tanis and Shiv regestered the fact that there was yet ANOTHER Force sensitive being trained in the Force that had fallen into their midst. She was having the same feeling.
"Are you alright? Were you hurt by the explosion?" Tanis asked her in an effort to just say something.
"No, no i'm fine." She turned to the Mandalorian "You ok Solus?"
"Yeah, I'm all here." The Mandalorian replied.
"So who are you?" The female asked
"I am Jedi Master Tanis Ardion. This is my apprentice Master Shiv (Shiv roars a soft greeting)." Tanis answers
"Jedi Master? A Jedi Master here? I dont understand, I didnt think there were any other Jedi around, much less here on Mandalore." She responds
"So my thoughts are confirmed. You ARE a Jedi."
"Yes, my name is Aliyah Onasi." She stuck out her hand a smiled, her blue green eyes flashed and matched the enthusiasum of her smile. Tanis shook it and smiled himself, but it was not seen from under his hood.
"Enough with the Jedi reunion. We need to get out of here before the place falls on our heads." Solus said and led the way.
After a less than graceful entrance through the disposal port of a refresher's toilet station, I take a moment to check my wounds. Its' worse than I thought. A catalog of my injuries lists several broken ribs a shattered knee and possibly some internal organ damage. I do my best to use the force to shunt the pain aside, but I find it difficult to concentrate.
I know I must get off the ship soon. The charges will blow at any moment, and The Overlord's Shadow will soon be torn asunder. My trip through the halls is hurried and frantic and excrutiatingly painful. It takes much of my concentration to make it to the hangar bay. A fierce fight between the remaining Mandalorians and the Peacekeeper soldiers trying to prevent access to their vessels rages violently. I prepare the last of my remaining reserves of strength, intent on fighting my way out when another series of violent explosions, this time very close to us, rocks the vessel. Warning sirens scream over the sound of warning sirens from previous explosions, and the chaos grows more violent as the darkened hangar's atmosphere is vented out into space. The power generators go out, obviously disabled by the explosions. Gravity is no longer a factor.
I see the Wayward Soul pitch violently to the side and scrape against the bulkhead before the hatch opens and I'm pulled in.
I struggle to the cockpit where Scratch is cowering in fear at all the chaos, then leaps up in excitement at my return.
"Down boy...ow...Echuta! Calm down!" I yell. Knowing I'm in pain his attitude shifts to immediate protective concern. "Not now, Scratch. No time to rest things are very bad, right now."
"SITUATION IS CRITICAL MASTER STARJAMMER, SUGGESTING EVASIVE PROTOC-"
"Yes, Glitch. Get us out of here. set course for Keldabe. The remaining Jensaarai are to meet me there as well. It's time we organize a strategy with the Mandalore to save this planet."
With that, I begin peeling off my armor and administering emergency bacta treatment to my wounds.
"Sir....i think you best look at this" Amanda said over the internal comms.
"This best be good, men take ten! make it a quick ten though! quick smoke, drink and where gone!" Griffin replied as he walked over to Amanda, Hawk had also joined them.
"What is it?" Griffin asked
Amanda and hawk looked at each other, Hawk gave amanda the nod and went off, taking out a cigar and his water bottle
"It's LZ alpha, We just lost every single little bit on them, beacons, comms and path finder teams posted around the jungle noticed plumes of smoke coming from the area" Amanda reported, taking a big gulp
"Dam...DAM DAM DAM DAM!!!!" Griffin shouted as he banged his fist against his helmet several times. before kicking a tree,
"Bastard tree!" Griffin screamed
"Commando's where moving back, stay frosty as F**k though, LZ alpha has just been downed, i repeat LZ alpha is no more!" He shouted over his comms.
"TIGSSSS!!!! you've got point again!" He screamed
Tigs let off a massive sigh and threw away his cigar butt, Sniper rifle in hand he took off to the front, the commando team followed. Moving as slow as turtle almost to avoid any sign of radar detection.
"Motion scanners set to full proximity men, stay stealthed at all times....HAWK put out that F**king ciggie!" He roared
Hawk immediatley threw his butt into the over growth.
"This is call sign victor zulu one, come in base plate!" Amanda said over the comms
"This is base plate, go ahead Victor zulu one"
"Peacekeeper force alpha is down, i repeat PK force alpha is down! LZ alpha is compromised, therefore is shut! i repeat Landing zone alpha is shut!!"
"Roger that victor zulu one, LZ alpha shut. Reclaim it at all costs, reinforcements will be dropped in, ETA 6 hours. Baseplate out"
Amanda gave Griffin the thumbs up, Griffin responded by blowing her a kiss and then a nod as soon as he saw the glare he recieved.
((Just in case no one realized...The PK flagship Overlord's Shadow is now a burning group of usless hulls floating in space...))
*THIS RPG SHALL NOT GO QUETLY INTO THE NIGHT!!!!!……….i hope. I’m up to keep it alive, who else is? I know there’s a couple other RPs up, but if we can keep a little breath in this monster until one of them folds, I’d love to ride this one to an ending*
Ralin and his team of Mandos finally reached friendly lines.
“Good to have you back sir†said the sergeant Ralin had left in charge of this sector of the battle line.
“Thanks Sergeant. Any activity out there?â€Â
“Plenty. They’ve got patrols out looking for us; not many have come this deep yet though; the few that did won’t be going home.â€Â
“Good work. They’ll figure out where we went soon enough. Then we’ll give them a welcome they’ll never forget…â€Â
It was soon apparent that my reentry into Mandalore's atmosphere would not be easy.
The Wayward Soul shuddered violently as the shields absorbed barrage after endless barrage of enemy fire from several flights of persuing Predators. I applied the last of my emergency bacta patches to a deep gash in my left torso, wrapping the bandages tight, under the protest of several broken ribs. I hissed at the pain, feeling angered at my defeat at the hands of the traitourous Inquisitor Xan. I made for the weapons console, blasting apart one of the Predators with a direct hit to the canopy. Another shot of our repeating laser cannon severed the starboard wing assembly of another, causing it to spin violently into two of its companions. One pilot was able to dodge, just grazing another, while his wingmate took the brunt of the oncoming collision, disappearing in a roiling fireball. The Soul's rear shield's crackeled as the flaming shrapnel punched through them, resulting in a loud, unpleasant explosion.
Glitch's high pitched voice sounded manic, "MASTER, WE'VE LOST THE REAR DEFLECTOR SHIELDS, AND OUR PRIMARY SUBLIGHT DRIVES, THE MANEUVERING STABELIZERS ARE SHREDDED TO BITS! WE WON'T SURVIVE ANOTHER HIT WITH THE SHIELDS DOWN! WE HAVE TO LAND NOW!"
I point to a section of anti-aircraft batteries right outside Keldabe's MandalMotors building. I know it's a tough fit, so I resume control.
The Predators close in, apparently intent on neutralizing me. I task Glitch with squeezing every last bit of power from the drives to improve my chances. I come in low, and extremely fast. The anti-aircraft batteries open fast and hard, as I fly through a tunnel of crimson laser fire. The force flows through me, guiding my hand as I juke and jink, loop and dive, closing the gap with my intended destination. The IFF indicated several hits as the Predator pilots brave enough to continue persuit are blasted to bits by the cannon fire. I continue to charge into the fiery storm. I smile with pleasure, acknowledging my own harrowing maneuvers.
The Wayward Soul shudders violently as Glitch screams in a very astromech-like fashion. Scratch gives a terrified whine.
WE'VE LOST PROPULSION! WE'RE GONNA CRASH! MASTER, I DON'T WANNA DIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEE!!!
The last thing I remember is the looming monolith of MandalMotors.
Then blackness.
* I'm always game.... I've just been unsure on how to proceed. What else is new eh? But with the nice new laptop I am hoping that I am inspired more. *
“We’ve got incoming sir!†shouted one of the Mando sensor operators. “They’ve massed and are moving on our position, with scout and hunter units leading them.â€Â
“Understood†Drakus said confidently. Grabbing the field headquarters broadband comm. mic, Ralin addressed all the Mandos on the battle line.
“You all know the plan. Be confident in it, in your experience, and know that we are better then them. Today, we fight not for some bounty or for some fat bureaucrat who’s paid you to fight his war. Today….we fight for Mandalore…for home…and for our way of life. Mando’ade, prepare for battle.â€Â
*for any mandos who don't know the 'plan,' PM me*

-INSIDE A CAVE-
I don't know how long he has been out cold, I'm bad with time but it's a good thing his droid is off. I don't need headaches right now. it's hard as it is to conceal both of our force readings and put a bubble up around the cave AND cloak it so no one gets any idea of coming in. though as time passes it is beginning to become easier to do in this cave for some reason...
I don't know how long i have been here, waiting. since I left I had felt something, something pulling me to come here. no answer, just waited, meditating, silently. then all that fighting out there woke me up. I thought I would have to fight but then he comes falling out of the sky. he would have died if I had not cushioned the fall. and then having to take on those guy's with weird, but cool looking, armor. they got lucky when facing me, I spared there lives, and they believe there are no survivors. How long is he gonna stay asleep? right now we are stuck between a rock and a hard place. hey that was a good saying, i'm gonna use that one. need to think of a way out of here alive....i'm hungry.
((ooc: sweet, good to see you back Z))
Ok i really want to post, but i dont really know where to go. Right now i think Tanis, Shiv, Tealani, Resh, Aliyah and Solus are together but I dont know exactly where to go.
Also, AA, did Xan alone just beat the Jensaari, Starjammer, his father, and some Mandalorians??? Im not buying that.
((To bad Tho'un was supposed to deal with Starjammer, and Xan was about to die.))
(( what's up with everybody? come on people! right some stuff!))
*Welcome back Zoncxs; long time no see! *
The jungle had grown deathly silent. The wild life that had grown accustomed to the Mando’ade presence again silenced their calls and singing. Ralin and his team of eleven other Commandos remained motionless in the undergrowth; their scanners picking up more and more movement ahead.
The snaps of fallen branches and brush stems became more and more audible. Front line grunts…no finesse or stealth to them at all. Just as wall of disposable assets, bred to overwhelm their prey. They’ve chosen to hunt the meat grinder this day…
The overcast sky was darker then ever, despite the early afternoon hour. The rain was getting heavier. The steady drip at the end of Ralin’s sniper rife was turning to a stream.
Then the first PK trooper burst into view, directly ahead as he kicked down a tall plant that blocked his path. Several others quickly formed at his flanks and at his back. Only meters away, he was easily within a stone-throw’s distance.
But Ralin and his team held; silent and still. Every Mando at his side maintained their iron composure, waiting for the signal that would begin the days work.
The PKs moved closer, studying each piece of possible cover they came to with the muzzle of their blaster rifles. Ralin picked the one who seemed to be the squad leader, letting his own weapon follow the clone’s movements ever so slightly.
Ralin’s palms began to sweat. The time for killing was at hand.
“Ner vode†he whispered into his comm., conscious not to let the action move his helmet. “Oya Manda.â€Â
And so the fight began…
*ok, I’m back in this thing. Anybody else got a few more post left in them for this old War Horse? And as I’ve mentioned before, if any new members would like to join as either a Imperial/Peace Keeper clone or as a Mando, this is really a good time. PM me or V_M for options.
Val and Sev, I’m guessing you guys with Mel and Si *I think they’re with you 2; might be even more that I don’t remember…* would be somewhere behind PK lines, with them between you and me. Possible in for you there, as you could hack and slash your way back to friendly lines. Or maybe you guys could stumble into a LZ and cause hell with their reinforcements/steal a ship. Just floating ideas out there.*
CAVE ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF KELDABE, MANDALORE
I'm not sure how I'm here, but it doesn't feel quite right. I'm wearing the armor of the Saraai-Kaar and walking through a wasteland of ruins. It's not Mandalore, i know that much for sure. It looks ancient and dead, with ruins and statues that can only be identified as Sith. I don't remember much since I'd crashed. I just know I'm not supposed to be here. Up ahead I see a shadowy figure in dark robes walking towards me. He feels familiar in the force somehow. As the figure walks closer I feel a whirlwind of emotions coming from him. Anger and resentment and fear, but they are wrapped in layers around a stable white core of goodness I recognize quite well.
"Skywalker..." I say, surprised yet a little afraid.
He looks at me sternly yet speaks softly, "Theyda Starjammer, I don't have much time. I'm being held captive here by an unknown faction of Sith. They have forced me into periodic force trances to ensure I don't cause them any trouble. The effort weakens them, as it weakens me to maintain this link. My sister will be arriving at Mandalore soon to assist in repelling the Peacekeeper forces. She has struck a deal with the Chiss' Grand Admiral Thrawn. You must make haste to free me from here."
"Where are you, Overlord?"
He looks troubeled by the title. "I've decided to step down as Overlord and assist in building a new government when this is over. I've seen the damage such titles cause. Find a planet named Korriban. I must go..."
I awaken with a start...
The Mandalorians dart through the jungle, blaster bolts filling the air around them and burning scars into the trees at every angle. Their heavy boots crash through the water of the small stream as they storm to the opposite bank. It’s a difficult thing remembering the exact path through the trees and undergrowth…good thing the translucent path projected by the HUD takes the guesswork out of it.
Having run far enough, Ralin shouts the order to ‘Hold.’ All stop instantly, many letting their feet skid out from ender then in the damp, mossy soil and twist around so as to land in a prone position. None fire… the red bolts from the PK trooper’s short barreled service blasters cut through the trees in an unending volly…but they were firing blind. A Mandalorian fires his weapon to kill.
During the momentary lull, Ralin reconfirmed that all the squads in his sector had reached the defense point. A few squads weren’t there yet…a few weren’t reporting in at all. Honor to the dead, speed to the living he prayed to nothing in particular.
Then the first black armored drones began to crash through the heavy foliage ahead of them. It wasn’t long before their sheer mass was pushing forward across the stream, despite the firepower brought down on them by the Mandalorian warriors.
Ralin could wait no longer. A few squads hadn’t crossed the stream yet, but there was no more time. Forgive me for this act ner vode, your sacrifice may save us all…
As the string of mines they’d panted began to detonate directionally into the faces of the onrushing PK forces, Ralin waved his troops deeper into the jungle…to their last line of defense.
“To all available air units: you may commence your runs in Black Sector. Target the SOUTH-EAST…I repeat…the SOUTH-EAST side of the detonation line. Oya manda. Ralin out.â€Â
â€ÂUnderstood†came a hard, gravelly sounding voice over the comm…
* * *
The explosions were larger then he’d been led to believe they could be. They weren’t using standard anti-personnel mines, but rather some sort of heavy ordinance that had been converted for the role most likely. The fireballs that emanated from each detonation, the shock-waves that turned the dark green jungle an off-green gray as the undersides of the leaves were turned upward to the sky; it was all so devastating to watch from the sky. Then the other sectors touched off their mine traps, sending unknown hundreds if not thousands of clones to whatever afterlife they had…if any. It only gets worse from here…
Slave I banked back to the right, coming parallel with the stream on the south-east side. Picking up speed for a hard approach, Fett’s laser cannons opened fire, along with the assorted types of cannon from a pair of other Mandalorian craft who were on his ‘six.’ Opening up a pair of hidden weapons bays on the forward fuselage, Fett unleashed one missile after another into the forest below…
