Daphne wrung her hands in the hem of her shirt. This only made things worse. She wondered what would happen to Loxley if he remained possessed but she didn't dare ask as she suspected that she wouldn't like the answer. "So when do we start?" she asked the others.

((Sorry for the short post, gotta run...))

Fort walked out of Loxely's room and joined the others.

"Its time." Fort said.

After a few minutes of gathering the pack, everyone was walking out of the conclave armed to the teeth. Some had large melee weapons, as Fort suggested, yet most just had heavy weapons. Fort called John and told him to meet up with them at the large clearing a mile or so away from the coclave in the forest.

After the giant party reached the clearing Fort told everyone to hide. They didn't need an explanation. They knew what to do. They all practically disappeared into the forest surrounding the clearing. Most into the trees. They were absorbed by the darkness. After a few seconds it seemed like they were never there at all.

The Doc stood in the middle of the clearing. Fort was on the outside, Daphne and Griggs beside him. The three of them had miniguns. The Doc raised his hand, the signal. Complete and utter silence came over the woods. There was no sound of birds, bugs, critters or any animals. They had departed. The Doc took out a purple vial from his sash with his free hand. His other hand held his staff.

He popped the cork off and the purple liquid vaporized. It turned into a purple haze (hee) that floated through the clearing and eventually dissapated.

"That will disspell the Balor Lord's invisibility when he walks into the clearing." Fort wispered to Daphne and Griggs.

The Doc then raised the empty vial and popped the cork off. A red liquid suddenly appeared in its place and the Doc swung the vial, sending the liquid all around the clearing. Then he tossed aside the empty vial, and waited. The red liquid would attract the Balor and send him bursting into the clearing in a blind rage. The Balor Lord wouldn't be able to stop itself.

Daphne looked to Nathaniel, "Should we leave you? Since the Balor Lord likes lone victims?"

The Doc shrugged, "He'll come now anyways."

Daphne felt somewhat nervous and wondered if she should change into her humanoid wolf form. She looked at Nathaniel and wondered why he still refused to let the wolf in him loose. She turned to Griggs instead, "Do you prefer human form, wolf form or half wolf form to fight?"

Daphne shrugged, "I tend to do the half human, half wolf shift." She demonstrated and took note of Nathaniel's reaction. His face showed no emotion but she suspected that he didn't like her in such a form. She shifted back to human, thankfully she'd wore stretch clothing.

"I tend to get stuck in certain forms, how do you control it?" Griggs asked.

"It's practice mainly but the most important thing is that you will yourself into which form you want. You demand it of yourself. Now try," she encouraged.

"Keep your voices down." Fort said in a low whisper to Daphne and Griggs. They caught themselves and turned back to the lone Doc in the middle of the large clearing.

Suddenly noses perked up. All the werewolves began to smell something, but it wasn't demon.

"Vampire..." One werewolf said and stood from behind a rock.

"Get down! We don't have time for that now." Fort whispered to him and he hid behind the rock again.

The clearing was had a diameter of 60 yards or so. All the werewolves were in a semicircle behind the Doc. Everyone was getting ansy.

Then, the moment had come.

A low rumble was audible ahead of the Doc. Brids were squawking and abandoning their trees in the forest area ahead of them. The crunching and snapping of broken foilage could be heard. The rumble became louder. Smoke rose in a trail leading to the clearing.

The Balor Lord burst from the trees and into the clearing. It raised its giant flame sword and let out a roar that resonated in everyone's chest cavities. It snapped the long flame whip and the pop of its sonic boom almost shook the leaves off of all the trees around them.

The Doc withdrew the vial of green liquid from his sash and popped the cork. He was about to launch the vial at the Balor Lord yet a cord of flame suddenly wrapped around his waist.

He knew his life was over.

The Doc was launched into the air as his body caught on fire. He flew off into the distant night, a flaming, screaming shooting star and disappeared far away. Only a small amount of the green liquid managed to land on the Balor Lord's arm. It was supposed to make it drowsy. This would just qwell its insanity for the moment.

"Great start for the battle....CHAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGE!!!!!" Fort yelled and raised Nasher.

The werewolves with guns strode into the clearing and opened up on the Balor's face. Most of the bullets bounced off of the skeletal head, but others sunk into its thick hide and were pushes back out with its regeneration. The gun fire would prove a good distraction, annoyance, and might be able to overcome the regeneration and penetrate the Balor's organs.

40 or so werewolves with only melee weapons charged and swarmed the Balor Lord. There were polearms, axes, swords, hammers, maces, flails and spears in the hands of the 40 were's in half wolf form. The first wave was confident with their number and attacked foolishly, as Fort advised them not to.

They learned their lesson.

The Balor Lord swung the giant flaming sword in a wide arc and 10 werewolves were immediatly mutilated. Another 5 were sent flying backward while on fire. The werewolves who were shooting aimed high as to not accidently shoot their own. If not for the annoying gunfire the Balor would have probably killed them all already.

The remaining 25 wolves of the first wave of melee retreated several feet. 15 broke off and circled behind the Balor. 10 remained in the front of the beast. 6 were cut in two by the sword. The last 4 were crushed under mammoth foot of the 20 foot high Balor Lord. The 15 who were behind attacked and 6 were thrown by the whip. Two, one with a sword the other an axe leapt onto the Balor and tried to go for the neck. The light fire all over the Balor's body immediatly set them aflame and they fell, charred to a crisp. The last 7 managed to beat up the Balor left leg and cut it in several places. Yet the wounds would heal quickly of not repeatedly hacked at. Those 7 werewoles were incinerated when the Balor Lord spat demonic fire at them from its mouth.

"WAVE 2! CONTINUE FIRING!" Fort yelled. Wave 2 consisted of 30 werewolves and was led by Fort. He dropped the minigun and unsheathed Nasher again. The other 29 werewolves, including Daphne, dropped their guns and took out their weapons. They charged fearlessly despite how the wave 1 of 40 were's were decimated. They were werewolves. It wasn't in their nature to fear, but to cause fear.

Fort rushed at the Balor Lord, the were's ran with him. It was true pack hunting. It was glorius. He ran beside his brothers, sword held high, the sounds of battle defeaning his ears. Blood and fire was everywhere. Growls and roars and battle cries were let out by his brothers.

Fort felt amazing. It was spectacular. The werewolf blood in him pumped through his veins and overcame him. The carnage blinded his control and sent him into a beserking mode. His muscles exploded and his body became too big for his vest and it burst off. His boots and the bottom of his pants ripped off and his skin became pale. Snow white fur grew from his arms, legs, feet, hands(which were now clawed) and a little on his chest. He looked at himself, but didnt care any longer. He was stronger, faster, more agile. He raised Nasher high and roared at the Balor Lord along with his brothers.

The Balor Lord pointed its sword at the line of firing were's and launched a fireball at it. 15 were's were either incinerated or sent flying into the woods. Wave 2 reached the Balor Lord and used the knowledge of Wave 1's demise to their advantage. They split evenly and 15 cirled around behind it and began to hack and slash at its leg again.

The front 15 had to preoccupy the Balor Lord's whip and sword. Fort and Daphne were in that group. Daphne was amazed by Fort's transformation, and she transformed after him. But there was no time to explain.

The Balor Lord slammed the sword into the ground and everyone shook for a moment. It swung the whip yet Fort deflected with Nasher and the whip snapped around the blade. Daphne took the opportunity and sliced the Balor Lord fingers. The whip was dropped along with the disembodied fingers that grew back a few moments later.

The Balor Lord howled in pain and spat fire at them Daphne flipped out of the way yet 4 werewolves were incinerated. Fort shook off the whip and tossed it away so the Balor couldn;t immediatly reach it. It swung its sword back at the wolves attacking its leg, which was starting to bleed, and 7 werewolves were disembowled.

Fort had to bring the attention back to him and he and another wolf with a spear stabbed the Balor's back. Another sword and an axe bit into the Balor's back afterwards from other were's yet the blades couldnt go too far into the thick hide and they withdrew their weapons quickly.

Paul felt a familiar feel of dread.  The balor lord was near.  It burst into the clearing and threw the Doc away after he threw some green liquid on it.  Fort gave the signal.

"CHAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGE!!!!!"  Paul sat and watched as the first wave was wiped out.  He groaned inwardly.  This wasn't going to be good.  Fort again called out another command.

"WAVE 2! CONTINUE FIRING!"  That was Paul and his posse's cue.  They got up screaming.  Michelle took all her sidearms and began firing at the demon.  Nick did the same.  Paul cocked the M203 attachment and let it rip.  The first grenade bounced harmlessly off his hide and blew up on the ground kicking up dirt.  The next one exploded in the Balor Lord's face who blinked but continued on a moment later.  Paul swore under his breath. 

"This isn't working.  We aren't even making a dent."  Nick motioned to all the other wolves who began pulling out their melee weapons splitting in two.

"Then let's get in on this."  Paul then saw Fort change into a half white were wolf.  Laughing manically Paul changed into a half were.  The others followed suit.  Then charged and ended up being the distraction in front of the demon while some others were behind trying to bring it down.  Paul deflected sword blow after sword blow.  The demon seemed to be attacking everyone at once.  Paul saw Fort block the whip and Daphne cut it's fingers off which regrew.

"Just great..."

After turning and slaying some more weres hacking at its legs Fort and Rob, another were, stuck a lance into the demon's back.  The thing roared and swung its sword in wildly.  Paul not expecting such a move hastily put one of his swords up to defend him self.  The demon heated his sword and it melted right through Paul's sword.  His eyes widened in surprise as he tried to get out of the way.  The sword cut into his side launching him across the clearing.  He landed against a tree gasping at the pain.  Michelle broke off from the battle and sprinted over to him changing back to a human.  Paul tore off his shirt and felt the wound.  He could feel it healing.  But something was wrong.  The skin was healed perfectly fine but his insides were burning.  Michelle came up beside him.

"Paul?  Are you okay?"

Paul wheezed through his teeth.  "No.  Get back there.  They need help.  I'll be there soon. GO!"

She reluctantly ran back.  Paul slowly rose to his feet.  Giving in to the adrenaline he felt a new boost.  He threw his head back and howled for all he was worth and ran back to the battle sword in hand.

(I hope evryone's aware of how exactly to kill the balor...decapitation or penetrating its heart, which is nearly impossible because of the bone casing it has. Everyone should go ahead an post what they like for their characters before i do another epic post. Just no one kill it yet, lol. Also, no climbing on the Balor Lord PLEASE. Ive said this a couple times...The Balor Lord has an aura of demonic flame all over him, so if you touch him you'll be burned to a crisp. Ph34r, im sorry but you gotta edit.)

Daphne was ducking, weaving and slicing but it didn't seem to be getting her very far. She had avoided the flaming flesh of the Balor Lord so far but she was getting a little tired of dancing back and forth. She looked at Nathaniel for a second before asking, "Is there any tactics that might help speed up killing this thing?"

He was busy for the moment and didn't answer. Daphne noticed that the flaming whip was still lying on the ground. She needed to get it as far away from the Balor Lord as possible. She didn't dare touch it, instead she backed away from the fight and picked up a large tree branch that was lying on the ground. She started using it like a broom and swept away the whip. Each time it touched the branch it burnt and Daphne knew she would be able to move the whip very far.

She tried a different tactic, she used the branch like a golf club and slammed as much force into her efforts so the whip was flung away. Then she dropped the flaming branch and moved back towards the others. A fire ball came her way and she ducked but she smelt the burning scent of hair. She didn't have time to dwell on it, she ran back to Nathaniel's side to continue the fight.

In the distance Anita sat patiently with a rocket launcher waiting for her chance to strike. She paused as she scented the vampire the others had noticed. She stood wondering whether or not to take him out or remain at her post.

(Could I get a re-hash on what D is doing?)

Fort and the others that were fighting the Balor head on were having a difficult time. Their numbers were being depleted quickly, most thought they would all die. But Fort saw through this. They were accomplishing exactly what they were supposed to.

The front line was keeping the Balor from wiping out the back line. The back line was attacking the Balor's legs. The front line was down to only 7 now.

"WAVE 3!" Fort called and looked back. He saw the 30 reinforcements drop their guns and pick up their melee weapons. There was still about 25 still shooting however, they needed a steady flow of gunfire to confuse the Balor, inflict more pain, and slow him down a tad.

As Fort saw the reinforcements running up he saw John run into the clearing and pick up an RPG from a dead werewolf.

"JOHN! JOHN!" Fort called to him. At first John didnt realize what was going on, but soon he realized the white half were yelling at him was Fort. Fort held up his hand telling him to wait with the RPG. John understood and would wait for the signal.

Fort needed one of the legs to be critically wounded before any use of the RPG's was going to happen. If they had been used too early, they wouldn not have caused much damage and the collateral damage would have killed their own troops.

Fort turned back to the fray as the reinforcements joined and added to the chaos of flipping, leaping, fighting werewolves and a giant fiery Balor Lord.

Valiant would never normally be so civil to D but under the circumstances he'd issued a personal truce. The werewolves were now being slaughtered and this could only be a good thing. "Do you know what that is?" Valiant asked D.

D shook his head, "Some sort of demon I'd imagine."

"I doubt it'd be a problem for us immortals," Valiant stated high handedly.

Joo-Eun, Striker and Ashryn departed the club and made their way to the woods. "This better not be a wild goose chase," Ashryn growled in warning.

Joo-Eun did not plan to displease him again. It would be bad for her health. "The wolf was wounded, I suggest we find him before he gets back up." Joo-Eun paused as she heard gun fire. "Perhaps we're too late. I believe D was hunting this night."
