Re: RPG-Superhumans
((Booyah! Go Sunburn!))
Darklight awoke, mystified by his new suroundings. He was standing on a plain of grass, grey as ash, with a sky only a single shade lighter. It was a barren place, seemingly devoid of light and shadows. Darklight had very little, if any, depth perception. Suddenly he saw something. A figure, arising from the ground before him. It was Void, in his human form, shaking his head groggily. Seeing Darklight standing before him, he snarled, and approached him.
"You did this to me, Nick! You'll pay for this!"
"Light cannot live without the darkness Terry, and darkness cannot live without light. We are both here. No one else is around."
"Where is here?"
"We both killed each other, but there was a huge explosion, and we both died in a strange way."
Void lit up, a small grin stretching across his face. "Hey, this is like my little shadow dimension. You have a light dimension, but you never knew it, never entered it. This must be a neutral one. Kinda like a limbo."
"So we ARE dead. If we're dead, we can't die again, right?" Darklight smiled (his costume was gone; he was wearing civvies)
Void grinned. Both brothers changed, Void reverting to his old living shadow shape, and Darklight taking a new one, a form of living light, with golden wings stretching from his back in place of tendrils. Blades of shaows and light appeared in their hands, and they rushed towards each other. Even in death, their hate remained. And now that they could not die, they could duel for the last time, and their duel would last for all time, a never ending struggle between light and shadow. Neither of them noticed a small globe of liht and shadow, left behind where they appeared, vanish, as it returned to the warehouse; a final sign to Darklight and Void's old friends. Neither of them noticed this. They were too busy duking it out once more, clashing in a hail of shadow and light, the sparks of the ussle burning and scorching the earth below them. And they still fought. They would not grow tired, or need food. All that they had now was each other, and their fight with each other would last for all of eternity.
