Re: San Diego Comic Con 2007

It's been since 2004 when I went, so the wife and I will be heading out that way too, finally.  Couldn't go last year because of the Weather School training, so I'm lucky to get out for a bit this time around.  Glad I registered when I did.  They had sold out of the 4-day tickets.  Had to buy a three-day ticket and a Saturday ticket separate.  Glad they have military discounts this year.  Otherwise I would have paid out the butt dearly for waiting until the last minute to register.  I didn't even think about it, until the wife mentioned stopping by and picking up her Press Pass for the convention at the registration booth.

Anyone else from the Club going to be out there?  This would've been the time for the BFFC t-shirts, so we'd recognize each other on the dealer's floor.  HAHAHAHA.  I'll probably be wearing some kind of Fett t-shirt, so I'll keep an eye out for you guys.  Although, it's so much sensory overload when you're on the floor you tend to lose yourself in the moment.  I highly recommend it for anyone, even if you're not a comic book fan.  I didn't even spend that much money on comics when I was out there last time.  Just enjoyed being there.  Great time for everyone, if you attend.  I still have never been anywhere else, where there are so many people (all geeks) concentrated in one single place in all my life.  Totally awesome.

Re: San Diego Comic Con 2007

Looks sharp, man.  Finally made it home today.  What a long drive.  My wife and I were definitely more tired driving back, than we were driving out there.  All that walking, you know?  Still had a blast.

Re: San Diego Comic Con 2007

Jumbo Chubby's, huh?

Aaron, would you say that big Jango Fett was about 9 to 10 inches tall, that was inside the case with the regular sized Chubby Russian dolls at the Con?  I wonder now, if that was actually a Jumbo Jango Fett Chubby with the smaller ones?

You've been holding out on us again haven't you? Since you haven't given us enough money, I'll guess I'll have to take it out of you piece by piece! - Unknown Mandalorian.

Re: San Diego Comic Con 2007

Yeah, they're being sold on Star Wars Shop.  I think that "Chubby" is the manufacturer name, though.
