McClains less realistic than Bourne. Cmon, a jet fighter on a highway? His movies are unrealistic. From what I've heard, anyways. Not as bad as the MI movies. All Bournes fighting is hand to hand, and the occasional pistol. Oh, once a hunting rifle. But that's it. No "cars", machine guns, or anything, just hands and pistols. Bournes the best assassin from his story (he took out two others, with the same training), and his brains and tactics are unparalled. Bourne, all the way.
It would depend on the kind of fight. If its a fist fight- John McClane. But if there is time to plan and so forth- Bourne because he is a trained assassin.
Are you kidding? Bourne's one of the best hand to hand fighters, ever. He'll use ANYTHING in his environment, and use it well. He'll take a book, or a pen, and use it--effectively.
He can't adapt? Besides ^that^, he shoved a gas hose and a newspaper in a toaster to make a bomb. Hows that not adaptation? He taped a flashlight to a fan, making it look like he's searching a room, and then ambushed the ambushers. He fired a gas tank to distract another assassin, then hunted him down, killing him. THAT'S adaptation. He had no memory, but managed to hunt his story down, and find the people that did everything to him. He was making the whole thing up as he went.
