Topic: Torchwood

Well this is probably out of reach for the American members, but those in the UK, Australia etc (basically anyone who can get access to BBC programs) will be able to see it. So far I've only seen part of one episode but it looks good - you'd think so since it's a Doctor Who spin off. Thoughts?

Re: Torchwood

they play Doctor Who on Sci-Fi in good ol' America, in which today we celebrate our independence from the British.

Re: Torchwood

I like Dr. Who (though I have to confess that I do not like David Tennant as the new Dr. Who) but I have not been interested in watching this programme at the moment. I really do not know why as well.

Re: Torchwood

I'm a huge Who-fan (and I personally enjoy David Tennant as Doctor Who. My favorite Doctor yet), and I'd like to be able to watch this series, but it's out of my reach, so I have to read about it on wikipedia. Sigh.

Re: Torchwood

I'm a HUGE fan of Dr. Who but my dad is.I have only seen the older episodes (From 1975 thereabouts) with Tom Baker.  According to him, the new Dr. Who looks like a street thug ergo the older Dr. Who is better.

Re: Torchwood

Tom Baker is great as the Doctor, but I do like both Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant. We were lucky enough to have all the episodes of Dr Who shown before the new series started - they went back to the first black & white ones. My hubby is a avid Dr Who fan, he got me into the series.

I'm just hoping Torchwood is just as fun.

Re: Torchwood

Actually I have been thinking about why I have not been interested in watching it.

I thought the Dr. Who was fun and from what I have heard about torchwood it is a lot more serious and gritty.

At the moment I cannot be bothered to watch serious and gritty programmes. LOL I like watching silly, fluffy and fun programmes/films.

It must have been funky to see the old programmes. I saw a few of them a while ago and it was good to see them.

I saw the first show of torchwood and was really looking foward to watching it until I realised I was moving over seas two days later. But I was very interested!
