Mace could move the gun away using the Force. That seems pretty useful to me.

Jango didn't put up a good fight, though. Even without the Reek, he would have easily lost. As a bounty hunter, Jango should have been aware of his surrondings, ergo, his trampeling was hil own fault.

Jango could have won, had he been able to use his jetpack. remember, he almost toasted Mace when he tried to kill him.

He did teach Boba all he knew, and Boba is a great warrior, so he can't be all that bad.
(I know Boba taught himself most of his abilities, but he had to start somewhere right?)

Okay i'll give my list on jango
First of he trainded boba
nearly toasted mace (if mace had no robe he would have been fried)
beat obi-wan (outside interfirence doesn't matter because in the world of star wars its anything goes do what ever you can to survive)
defeaated kamari vosa
became the best bounty hunter in the galaxy
became the clone template
killed a kryat dragon in bount hunter
can't think of anymore at the moment but those are just a few of his feats.

He did not train Boba, and he never killed the Kryat Dragon, he ran from it. In Tales From Jabba's Palace, another bounty hunter kills one with a single shot.
