------------------SPOILER LINE: DO NOT READ----------------------
Anyways, I wanted to open a topic for Spoiler full discussion of RvB: Reconstruction, and the Finale. So, thoughts?
So is the Church at the end the real Church? The one they based the Alpha off of? Only slightly confused.
Have you read the Halo Books? In them, it is explained that all smart AI are based off the brain of a human, usually one of a dead human. But if a Brain is flash-cloned, perhaps 1 in 20 will be capable of being mapped and an AI formed. So Church, the Director, had his brain turned into an AI, which became the Alpha. He was confident that because the AI was himself, he wouldn't be able to be convicted. Church also had his childhood memories.
I'm not sure what the means about Tex......is she supposed to be the loved one the Director lost? But all the Reds and Blues saw her....was she another part of Church, another facet of his personality? And was that her body at the end, where Caboose said, "Lets see if this works." I think it might be, but that he plans on putting Epsilon inside. Or something.
They better do a new series.
I hope Alpha is still alive. Like I said, being the original, wouldn't he have a safeguard against the emp? I hope that they make a series where they go back to BG (the same timeline as the original) and make a new series where the AI alpha isn't Church, because, he's awesome.
I doubt it--it doesn't really affect the story much (at least as far as the original series goes). But I AM curious about Tex, the body near Caboose at the VERY end, Tucker, and definitely Church. And Wash.
I loved how even the computer said "emp", as in sounded out, at the end. And Churches last words were hilarious. But yeah, I'm guessing a follow up series, bringing back any characters that weren't in this. If you read the blog post in the general discussion topic, then you can tell Burnie alludes to a follow up. And more maps will come out in the next 3 or so months, giving them even more environment options.
RT is AMAZING with filmography. There are at least 2 CG parts in the first ep (the holograpic ship, and a figure that waves from a tunnel before they find the Red soldier), and another big one later. And the opening scene has way more than the 16 people allowed in a single match, so they combined several.
But you can't really have a blue team without Church.
He's the most popular blue (for the people I know personally), and without him, blue team isn't the same.
Oh yeah. Caboose....without someone to tell him what to do, who knows what would happen. And I don't want to even think of what Tucker would do if he was in control. Tex could MAYBE keep things under control, but is she is gone....I love Church though.
Tucker in control...? I can't imagine after every order hearing Bow chica bow wow. Tex would probably get hired by the Reds to kill the Blues, so she isn't a good leader either. They should make a series called Everybody Loves Church. Besides wahtever happened to Church, do you know what happened to Donut?
Nope, he wasn't mentioned at all in Reconstruction. So no idea.
Donut was mentioned once.
Sarge: "Gather the troops...well, I can't call in Donut, so that leaves Simmons and Grif..."
Ok. Whats your opinion on the ending, with Caboose and Epsilon?
I think he's trying to revive Tex...if he found her. I just hope he doesn't transfer his memories over to Epsilon...that would be bad.
Epsilon is insane enough without Caboose confusing him further. He should probably just leave it alone. I hope Tex does come back, though. One of my favorite characters.
I bet they're all going to look for Church next season. And Tucker's kid. And yeah, Tex will probably come back, but meaner and more insane than ever.
Yeah, I imagine they'll continue the series where they left off--but Tex will only come back pissed and wanting to kill someone.
I was watching the original series recently, and when Sarge died, he met Church in the afetr-life...could be church be both a ghost and an AI? Wouldn't that give him a way to survive the emp?
But I don't think it would kill him. Where is his actual AI? The place where the computer itself was stored? Was inside the facility or somewhere else? His image may have been destroyed but the AI itself may have retreated back? Kind of a disorganized idea but it makes sense to me.
I doubt he'll fullly die--Burnie Burns, RT's head, voices him, so....I imagine he likes his own character. And Church is a huge favorite. And if he survives, they'll have a good reason. I hope they bring Tex and Tucker back, too.
Yah. We at least need the 6 in there. Church, Tucker, Caboose and Grif, Simmons, Sarge.
I know its been awhile since anyone has posted on this, but I heard on the Rooster Teeth website that they're starting a new mini-series of RvB tomorrow, so that might explain a few of the questions here.
TOMORROW! Are you sure? Because I am DYING for another series. I have heard news there will be two mini-series and then another full series. Didn't hear that it'd be NOW. Hold one.
Yes, check the blog and YOU ARE CORRECT! A four part minseries, interrupted by a PSA, begins TOMORROW! I'm officially the most pumped for a Monday I have ever been. Ever.
It will Apparently be called "Red vs Blue: Relocated"
And, in hopes of seeing Tucker....
Bow chick wow wow!!
I'm more hopeful of seeing Church. But you're right...this is probably the only time I've been pumped for a monday.
I was just on the site. Unfortunately the episode is only for sponsers. I don;t know about anyone else but I'm not a sponser...so I can't see it
Thats what I saw. Agreed, hopefully it'll be public by the time I go to bed. Or I'll watch it in the morning.
Can't wait till it goes public.
Just went public. Saw it just now. It was a pretty good way to open the series, nothing big yet, but I can't wait for the next episode!
EDIT: Forgot to mention, they don't show much of Blue Base, and Caboose doesn't have any lines in this one.
