LOL lederhosen, thats great!
I'll tell ya'll something sad, and in which, should make you all very happy about the halloween you guys still go to.
I was a kid old enough to go trick or treating in the mid 80's to the mid 90's. Loved it. People really put effort behind their "scary" decorations. The candy was great, and it was fun stumbling into your friends who you'd barely recognize because of their costumes.
Well, in the Scandinavian country I live in now, Trick or Treat has pretty much been "banned". Especially in the area I live in now. What's sad, is Halloween here hasn't been around for long, maybe around 3-5 years.
But hoodlum kids in this area, has done the following to help create a ban on halloween:
Throwing rocks at cars and motorcycles.
Throwing eggs at cars and motorcycles.
Spraypainting nice homes, spraypainting expensive cars.
Go around in "gangs" and beat up smaller kids.
Torched garbage cans, torched garbage sheds...
In the name of Halloween.
Yep, thanks to them last year, the newspaper this year is advising parents _NOT_ to let their children go out trick or treating, because the police will be out in full force this year. Shops have a _VERY_ limited Halloween inventory, candy? Hah, no XXXL bags of candy corn here!
What's even worse, is that they don't even show any horror movies on TV.
So I'll tell ya'll what, how about you guys come here for Halloween, and I take your place? I garuntee, that you'll have 100x more fun there, then here.

That really sucks man, seriously. Stuff like that pisses me off, the few in charge assuming they know what's good for the people. Hell, have the kids go out supervised by a parent with a gun = one part of the problem solved!
Have the police concentrate on keeping the homes and cars safe from vandals, and leave the trick or treating to the professionals (ie. kids under the age of 13 and their armed/paranoid bodyguards/parents).
I can see myself going out anyway dressed as a cop with a sign that says "DOUCHEBAG" stuck to my chest.
But for real, I feel for you Theta. Maybe I don't know what it's like to have Halloween gone from my life entirely, but I'll know what it's like not to have one this year. Rooks, possessing no rights and being sub-human, will be restricted from the holiday festivities when Halloween comes around. However, I will endeavor to eat myself sick with TWICE as much illegally obtained Halloween candy in your honor.
The problem is, most of the vandels are under the age of thirteen. Now of course, we got t he 16-17 year olds running around doing all sorts of illegal activity during Halloween. Getting drunk, smashing windows, you name it. And the 13 year old kids, want to act cool and tough, do the same thing so they can be "cool" with the older kids.
It's sad. Was out on a Halloween party about two years ago with some of the guys I worked with, really fun time, rented some horror movies and I told them of my grand journey out each halloween and how sick I got the day after eating candy.
And thanks to hoodlums, that's going to be taken away.
Anyways, back on track...
This Halloween will be celebrated by renting a crap load of horror movies, pigging out on candy, hoping some trick and treaters will come by despite the "ban". Bought some candy, not too much though, a single candy bar here costs a buck and a half. And getting a hold of anything in bulk, is next to impossible.
But hey, Halloween is halloween! I WILL enjoy it no matter what.

I've never celebrated this thing called Halloween....
so what is it like to miss it? Also strange. Can not miss what you have never had.
People in my high school talked of going trick or treating even then. Few have ever in the 20+ years I have lived in my house have ever come trick or treating.
I've never trick-or-treated in my life...
Was raised in a VERY rural area, and half the neighbors hated my Dad/our home business anyway, so... When my armor is done, however, I may have the edge to make a late entry into the festivities
Has anyone seen the new Boba Fett "Clone Wars" costume yet?
Here's a Halloween happening I just HAD to post. The only Fett element in it unfortunately was someone buying a Jango and Boba costumes for their kids at the last minute at Target. While I was working at Target last night I had to tell Darth Vader his card was declined.
Here's pictures:

Those are our pumpkins. I did the scary face and Victor did the gunshot one. The pumpkin he got had a little indention thing on it so we dripped some of the guts on it and put some fake blood on it.

Those are my cats. Mara's the black one and the other is Atton.

These are me in my pirate costume. I really, really love the coat. It's swooshy, it has three godets and I actually cut it on grain. Usually I don't pay attention to grainlines. And I love the fabric! I had eyed it in the clearance section for two weeks before I thought of making this coat out of it. The buttons are wood and you can't see it in the pictures but they look like a few strips of leather weaved together. I handsewed the buttonholes cause I gave up trying to use my machine. The pockets are fake for now cause I ran out of time. But I think this coat is one of the better things I've made. Also, notice on the vest I was able to get it closed this time! Last year I couldn't close it cause I was too fat. I left the top and bottom open cause those wouldn't close, and it looked good I think.
We didn't get any pictures of Victor in costume because I forgot to take them before he took his costume off. We went out and wandered the mall and then came home and when we got in he was really hot so he took it off and then I remembered we were going to take pictures. He wore his Jedi costume.
btw, Victor's my husband.
Nice pictures, Miba.
Nice. I didn't get to carve a pumpkin this year. We didn't even decorate the house! But, we do got a bunch of leftover candy!
I saw... a Stormtrooper, a 501st trooper, Darth Vader, and Indiana Jones.
Front page news:

Ladies and Gentlemen of the BFFC, I have seen one of the most epic spectacles of my life on this fine Halloween.
First you must understand the setting:
I reside at the Military College of Vermont, nestled at the base of Mt. Payne. The day is brisk and windy; just the morning before a thin layer of snow glazed the campus in fine white powder. Today there is no snow, but the fall leaves still flutter in the strong winds like ashes from a fire. Recruits march in formation to 2nd chow along the upper parade ground. One formation, however, not of rooks but of upper classmen, stands out from the rest.
This formation marches through the campus in the bone-white uniforms of Imperial Stormtroopers.
Just the sight of two dozen stormtroopers marching in formation was breath-taking. Perfectly in step, rifles held at port arms, locked on straight ahead. It really looked like an Imperial platoon. Us recruits weren't allowed to dress up, but the upper classmen definitely made the most of their privilege, at least these ones.
I just thought it was a pretty cool thing to see.
I would have loved to see Stormtroopers like that! I've never even seen one, let alone several, and marching like that.
I'm not aloud to go trick-or-treating anymore...
Do what I did. Go to your local Food Bank and get a bag they have and go around collecting cans. There was one lady who was totally ringing us dry for being too old for candy blah blah blah. And my friend was like, "Umm Ma'am, we're collecting cans." And she suddenly looked horrified and was like, "Oh. I'll go get some." Needless to say she gave us the most cans.
I beleive this would be the appropriate place... Ti's I as the clone trooper
Dinosaur Jedi? I guess he played Jedi Outcast and decided to be Desann...
she just came up with it randomly.
