Not only is it very pricey it is also challenging for us to get babysitter (the last time Devil boy and I went to the cinema together was when we went to see the last of the Lord of the rings films, in fact that was the last time that we went out together in the evening )

So you didn't see Revenge opf the Sith at the cinema. You should have, i saw it on opening day.

Yeah, Durge was way different in the cartoon than he is in the regular Star Wars: Republic comic books.  He was actually pretty lethal in those.  He wasn't really very fleshed out well in the Young Boba Fett novels, either.  Too bad.  Kind of how the ARC's in the comics and novels are much more how you'd expect them to actually be.  Not that they didn't rock in the Clone Wars cartoon.  Especially the fight with Grievous.  Anyway, the cartoon fight scenes with Durge reminded me that the guy who did the animation also did Samurai Jack, because that's exactly what I thought of when I saw Durge fighting.  Like a fight scene from Samurai Jack.  Kind of over the top, you know? 

I did like some of the combat scenes with the Clones, though.  Especially with the ones that seemed they had nothing to lose, so they went down fighting anyway.  Kind of sad, but something I'd expect from the clones of Jango Fett.  Sort of a "Better to die on your feet, than live on your knees" kind of thing.

I never read any of the comics. I really should.

And, yes, I loved the Clone fight scenes. Especially the ones where the clones started fighting with their hands instead of blasters, like the part where Rex was like, "Here, let me show you." Reminds me of something my husband would do.

Oh, but that's another thing. The part where Padme's captured and her comm goes off and the droids are like, "What's that?" So the droids couldn't even recognize a standard comm?

The one aspect I enjoyed about this film, (other than the awesome Clone battle scenes) was the soundtrack. In fact I bought it today and I'm listening to it now.
Sure, John Williams is AMAZING and irreplaceable, but I think his sweeping orchestral pieces would have felt out of place in this animated adventure. The best way I can describe it is "more badass" than typical SW music, the guitar riffs, heavy drums, etc. all correspond well with the fight sequences.

Yeah, I guess you could say that... but the art style is very "videogame-like," don't you think?

Yes we did I had forgotten about that. In that case. Revenge of the Sith was the last film that Devil boy and I saw together. Still too long ago. We really have to do something about that. I just have to hope that Devil Boys brother will help out at some point (his parents will not )

Hm... you know I even liked the new opening scroll music with the drum beats... though I WAS annoying how there was that AWFUL 80's voice over and not scrolling text. -_-

Hmm, if I'm  not wrong this is also the start of a new show to air on Cartoon Network just like the 2D Clone Wars cartoon? Sorry, I've been outta the SW loop for a bit... when will this new show air and how long will the episodes be, anyone know?

I've found the movie is much better the second time round. We went to see it again today and I loved it. I didn't even mind the music!

I have a question though: Why are there so many Nikto around Jabba's palace? Just curious.

And why couldn't they have used real Huttese? There's a few words, sure, and maybe two or three sentences that are real. But otherwise it was all gibberish. Either that or I'm not as good with Huttese as I'd thought.

I don't think Hutts can speak Basic. I think they're physically incapable of it. I think, I don' t remember for certain. But I am very sure.
