I have to disagree with you and the others here who are saying Jango's blasters are equivelent to high caliber rounds. First off, Jango's blasters are not heavies, they're target blasters. If any of you have 'The New Essential Guid to Weapons & Technology,' it'll back me up.
I agree with the book because of the design. They're very light and sleek despite the length of the barrels, and most importantly they doesn't have large ammo packs that would support the high drain of a large caliber round/bolt.
With these things in mind, I agree with the book that they are built for percision attacks and a high rate of fire. I'd rate them as a round that's got a very high velocity, but small size; the same concept as the M-16's .223. Only pistol round I can think of right now with really high velocity is the .357 Mag, but that's bigger then I'd say Jango's blasters would be.
Rev can probably think of a round that I'm talking about.
Boba's rifle reminds me of a .45 Long Colt weapon like those used in old west lever action rifles and in the Colt pistols. Big bore round with serious knock-down power, but not long ranged. That's the impreson I get from the rifle in the movie. In Battlefront it's more like a shot-gut with three slugs in the shell.
