Re: RPG - Jedi Purge: The Hunt for Survivors

Falleer eyed the Rodian waiting for his move. He suspected that the Rodian knew something. Falleer scanned the cantina for any more suspicious looking people, but found none. He sighed. Falleer looked at the bartender and asked, "What can you tell me about that Rodian?" The bartender hesitated. Falleer slipped his 100 credits and the bartender looked around and spoke in a hushed tone, "I don't know much about him myself, but he does bountyhunting work here for the local authorities. "How long?" Falleer asked, greatly intrigued by this fact. "I don't know. Coupla' months ago, I think." Falleer smiled and stood up. This guy was a definite lead on the jedi. "I wonder, maybe he's a jedi himself. Better keep sharp, or I might have to fight a jedi without the advantage." Falleer thought to himself as he walked up to the Rodian. "Hey! Buddy, what's your name?" Falleer called to the Rodian.

Skree eyed Falleer boldly.

"Mogun...Can I help you?"

Skree eyed the hunter hoping to stall to buy the others time to get away.

"Lemme guess...you're lookin' for a new partner, eh? That's good 'cuz Mogun the Huntsman loves having help. How are you with a blaster, huh?"

"I'll take your word for it. And if the Empire is after you, I'll still do what I can to help you. A narudar, in Mandalorian terms. A temporary alliance. You're my enemies enemy."

"My enemies enemy is my friend, eh?"

"Sort of--but more of an alliance of convience. It lasts as long as necessary. I will help you in anyway possible, until you no longer wish me to." Verd turned towards the Kiffar. "You haven't said anything, ma'am.

Re: RPG - Jedi Purge: The Hunt for Survivors

Falleer smiled to himself. The Rodian had just asked if he needed a partner. "No, I don't need a partner. What I do need is information about the Jedi. So can you tell me anything friend?" Falleer grabbed the Rodian by the shoulder and pulled a dagger from out of his cloak. The Rodian gasped in surprise. Falleer whispered to him, "I know you know something. And if you don't tell me what you know you're not gonna be happy." Mogun squirmed and eyed his blaster. Falleer noticed and said, "Don't even try it. You'd be dead before you even touched the blaster. Now tell me, Mogun, where are the Jedi?"

Nexia let out a breath, “I’m sorry I was recalling the past. Like you I don’t have particularly pleasant memories of it. I’m glad you wish to help us but I think the Jedi are a dying breed.”

Re: RPG - Jedi Purge: The Hunt for Survivors

Skree sighed somewhat dramatically.

I really hate when others mistake my easy going demeanor for weakness...

He opened himself fully in the force, summoning a small maelstrom of Force energy to lift the surprised Noghri off his feet and slam him heavily into the wall of assorted liquors behind the bar. The shocked alien was assaulted by an avalanche of breaking bottles and multiple liquors as the bar crowd just sat stunned. Before anyone could come to their wits, the rodian dumped his last large denomination credit on the bar and smiled sheepishly at the bartender as he took off running.

He moved quickly into a nearby alley, making a habit to lose himself in a crowd as he fled for the spaceport. As a hunter by nature, he used a good many of his hunting skills to avoid being tracked. He hoped he'd be able to catch up with the other Jedi, maybe they could help...

ooc: nice, VM.

ic: "I’m glad you wish to help us but I think the Jedi are a dying breed.”

Verd smiled grimly. "That may be, but I can make sure at least a few survive. Do you know of any other Force-users on Taris?" He deliberately strayed from the term "Jedi" as the masked one, Drakus, seemed to be wary of being associated with them. But he seemed to be more on the side of the Jedi than the Emperor and his Hunters, so Verd trusted him.

Re: RPG - Jedi Purge: The Hunt for Survivors

"I know of none; that's why I drifted here.  The Jedi cast me out, making me what your society would call........ dar'manda I believe.  So I have avoided them and those who hunt them.

Ralin turned to the Kiffar, who had still not told them her name.

"Are you alone here?  Or are there other Jedi hiding with you?"

"You set a code to live by.  I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted...I won't be laid a hand on.  I don't do these things to other men, and I require the same from them."

Re: RPG - Jedi Purge: The Hunt for Survivors

Zylus pulled up to the bar where he felt the Force. Walking inside, Zylus quickly took to a table, and ordered a drink for himself. Using his Force Sense, he scanned for where the Jedi could have been.

Re: RPG - Jedi Purge: The Hunt for Survivors

Falleer winced. He was covered in broken glass and alcohol. Falleer stood up and wiped the mess off of himself. He smiled grimly. "Who knew jedi could be so stupid," He thought to himself. Unbeknown to the Jedi, when Falleer had threatened him with the knife, he had also placed a small unnoticeable homing device on the back of the jedi. All he had to do was follow the device, and take the jedi out at his leisure, using the sniper rifle on his back. The only problem was the use of the force. By that little demonstration, Falleer was able to gauge the Rodian's powers. "This is not gonna be easy," he muttered to himself as he left the cantina.

is it the same bar where there was a huge disturbance consisting of a Noghri flying through the bar's liquor stock?

if so you seem pretty calm, man...

((theres a difference between no fear and questionable continuity...its just confusing. i dont mean to nitpick...it was a bit confusing as to where you were exactly...))

Skree wove through the crowds swiftly, pulling his force presence in close and avoiding obstacles. He had no idea if there were any force users on his tail. He hoped to find help soon...

“I am here alone, I was told that this was a possible meeting place for the Jedi but I’m yet to come across any, well other than yourself. However every so often I get the sense that there are others here.” Nexia said with a wistful sigh.

“Oh by the way my name is Nexia. I just realized that I was yet to introduce myself. Have either of you come across any others? I mean ones who are still alive.”

Re: RPG - Jedi Purge: The Hunt for Survivors

"I'm afraid not. I asked, hoping I could know who to help. But if there are others here, I'd like to find them."

Verd turned to the man, smiling slightly. "Close. Though your knowledge of Mandalorians is surpising. Dar'manda means "no longer Mandalorian". There's a better word for you--"dar'jetii". It is usually used to describe Sith, but literally means "no longer a Jedi".

Re: RPG - Jedi Purge: The Hunt for Survivors

(( Love the Mando'a lession smile Very clever.))

No sooner had the speeder bike took off, Si felt another disturbance in the force. This one different in nature than the one that had promted her to follow the individual to the landing pad. She looked back towards the area where she felt the disturbance eminate and saw a Rodian hastily exit the cantina and slip down an alley near by. The force followed him, but, Si noted, that it was not that of the Dark Side.

"That's odd." She thought to herself. "I didn't know about any other force users here." So she turned and went to track this new player, just to see really what was going on Taris.

Meat is murder...... tasty tasty murder.
"Suggestion: Electrocution works well. Evisceration and Decapitation are also effective, or um, so I've heard."

Re: RPG - Jedi Purge: The Hunt for Survivors

Falleer stood outside the cantina. The jedi was nowhere in sight. He pulled out a small datapad that had a map on it. There was a flashing red dot going through the streets and alley ways. That was the jedi. Instead of immediately setting off after the jedi, Falleer went back to his ship to certain items that would aid in the capture of the jedi.

"Thank you for the correction.  I studied the Mandalorian Wars a great deal during my time with the Order.  I have the deepest respect for your people."

The Mando bowed his head slightly at the compliment.  "Thankyou.  We Mandalorians have the same respect for the Jedi; you were most worthy opponents during that age; I hope that 'we' shall make even better allies now"

Ralin nodded his head in return.  "We shall see.  Come, if we're to leave this world, we should start now."

"What about looking for more Jedi here on Taris?" asked Nexia.

"The disturbances in the Force here this day have been great enough to catch the attention of every Force user in the city.  If they are wise, they are already leaving this world.  We should do the same...."

Re: RPG - Jedi Purge: The Hunt for Survivors

Sorry for posting so soon after, and sorry for  the length.

IC: "I have a ship, but it's all the way back in spaceport--meaning back into the fire we just left. Course, two Force-users and a Mandalorian should easily be more than enough for a few bounty hunters--or Dark Side users. All the same, precautions should be taken. If we enter the city, we should split up--close enough to help, but not too close to make it obvious."

Re: RPG - Jedi Purge: The Hunt for Survivors

((Sorry for my absence))

"Very well then, let us return. Perhaps we should walk away from each other making enough distance to seem as though we are not travelling together." Nexia suggested.

Ralin shook his head, "It could be an easy way to pick us off."

"Good point, what weapons do you have? I'm assuming it would be best if we avoid using our lightsabres." Nexia said as her hand immediately moved away from the weapon she often sort comfort from.

Re: RPG - Jedi Purge: The Hunt for Survivors

Ralin opened the left side of his outer cloak, revealing the heavy blaster straped there for a quick cross draw.  He didn't bother to mention the two daggers he also carried.

Looking at the Mandalorian, he suspected it would take hours for him to list off all his weapons....

"I think we can handle ourselfs, but keep your lightsaber close.  The dark presense that has followed us here will not hesitate to use his..."

Re: RPG - Jedi Purge: The Hunt for Survivors

"Agreed. And if you want to borrow a blaster, I've got a spare....or three." Verd grinned. "But if we're attacked, don't hesitate to use it, no matter who attacks us. If they do, they know who you are, and there's no point in hiding any further. We'll stick together--keep you blasters in the open--it'll make the local gangs think twice, and you might be overlooked by hunters. A slim chance, I know, but we've got to take everyone we've got."

"We've delayed long enough. We're running out of time."
