Re: True Colors
i dont see why anyone would have a problem with her
I might, if i wasn't a fan of Mandos and Commandos--she killed Mara! i know it wasn't her idea, but still......i was highly annoyed
what did anderson do again?

taken from a KJA bio
"His STAR WARS “Jedi Academy†books were the three top-selling SF novels of 1994. His three original STAR WARS anthologies—TALES FROM THE MOS EISLEY CANTINA, TALES FROM JABBA’S PALACE, and TALES OF THE BOUNTY HUNTERS are the best-selling science fiction anthologies of all time. He has also completed numerous other projects for Lucasfilm, including the 14-volumes in the bestselling and award-winning YOUNG JEDI KNIGHTS series (cowritten with his wife Rebecca Moesta)."
well it was just luck of the draw that she killed off mara, i was pissed off at Salvatore for killing off Chewbacca and then refering to him as the family dog but i still love his books
oh yeah........young Jedi knights was good, but young, and Jedi academy good too. Read I, Jedi for a different perspective on that story. Corran Horns the main character.
yeah, i guess. I liked Mara a lot, and i knew Chewie and anakin would die, so i was less upset--read "Betrayal" before NJO, i think...oops. I liked mara more than Chewie, actually...
yeah i read I,jedi before the academy trilogy, and when i found out the two where related i went and bout the trilogy
oh--I, Jedi was great--I've read X-Wing, so i love Corran Horn. great character.
i like the simple fact that he doesnt rely solely on the force

It was the same thing for me. I read I, Jedi first and then when I started reading Anderson's triolgy I was like "oh I get it... different narritives on the same thing. Neat." I like Corran Horn too. I have a lot of respect for the Rouges. ( I LOVE Wedge Antillies almost as I do Boba and the Mandos.)
I happen to dislike the killing off of main characters, but that's almost a running theme through the Star Wars universe. Everyone dies sometime. Even if we consider examples just within the cannon of the six movies there are many.
EPI: Qui- Gon Jinn and the ever graphic Darth Maul.
EPII: Jango Fett. Shimi Skywalker ( although I'm not sure if she would count, but her death is infulential on a main character.)
EPIII: Padame, Count Dooku, General Grevious and other CIS leaders, almost whole of Jedi Order including Mace Windu.
EPIV: Obi Wan Kenobi
EPV: Ok I can't think of anyone importiant for this one. Just mainly bit rebels and imperials.
EPVI: Yoda, Emperor Palpatine, Darth Vader/ Anakin Skywalker and Jabba the Hutt.
Hey guys, when discussing books that some people may not have read yet, can you please post a ***SPOILER WARNING*** before writing about certain characters... 'cause I had no idea Mara Jade died... >:( >:( >:(
Thanks a lot. >:(
Sorry Manji. There was nothing about the specifics so that still will be new.
My apologies Manji
really sorry about that. are you reading Legacy?
i like the simple fact that he doesnt rely solely on the force
yeah--hes funny, at times, and a great fighter pilot. But i love the back and forth joking of Wedge and his friends in "Starfighters of Adumar" and in other books since.
i do not think i have read that one
but i do like the fact that
possible spoiler
That it seems like all the famous Rouges have joined the jedi against Jacen
yeah--gavin, tycho, wedge--most are friends with han and leia, and some Jedi--Corran, Luke, and their smart
spoilers
that part in fury, where wedge "shoots" tycho was hilarious
you know what the info i had posted earlier about bard'ika was relevent because it was released the same time as this book!
