Crispin headed Loxley off in the hallway.
"Loxley." He called out.
"What is it? Are you going to berate me for my defeat?" Loxley growled, his fangs bared in rage and self-loathing.
"Quite the contrary, actually." Crispin replied, motioning for Loxley to follow him into the room behind the pack leader.
The room was large, and mostly empty, with the exception of a dozen or so incense candles providing the room's only light. In the center of the room were two tatami mats, one in front of the other. Crispin sat on the one farthest from the door, and motioned for Loxley to sit on the other.
"Did you ever meet Ghandi, Loxley?"
"No, I'm afraid I was never interested in pacifists." Loxley spat, uneasily.
"Pity. That 'pacifist', as you called him, possessed the mental discipline of an paralleled warrior. You could have learned a thing or two from him." Crispin paused, inhaling the smoke from the candles.
"Don't fight them," He said to Loxley, eyes closed, meditating. "Let the candles soothe you, calm you, stay your flaming heart."
Loxley relaxed slightly and took a small whiff of the candles. His shoulders dropped an inch or two.
"No, inhale them, Loxley, inhale them!" Crispin stressed. "Do you want to win Daphne's heart?"
"More than you can imagine."
"Well, I can't directly help you there, but I can ensure you survive long enough to try and woo her some more."
Crispin stood, suddenly assuming a fighting stance.
"Rise, omega."
"What did you call me?!?" Loxley lept at Crispin, claws outstretched. Crispin elbowed Loxley in the stomach, midleap, grabbed Loxley's face with his free hand, and tossed the wolf against the back wall.
"Unless you learn to control your bestial impulses, you with either become the omega or die a humiliating death before the Lunar Eclipse passes."
Loxley stood up shakily, staring at Crispin, unsure of what would come next.
"Come back to your mat." The pack leader instructed.
"Now then, I'm going to teach you to reign in your hormonal urges, not compleely, mind you, that can't be done, but at least enough to keep you from any more standoffs like the one you had with Nikoli." Crispin paused, as he noticed Loxley was embracing the incense fumes.
"and should you get into a fight, I will show you how to do it correctly. Jujitsu, Kung Fu, Bushido, even Ninjutsu, all have I mastered. I will teach you how to fight defensively, and come out on top with relatively no trouble."
Crispin rose from his mat, ad Loxley did the same.
"Now come at me again. Class is in session."
Loxley complied. And his education began.
