Re: Your Mand'alor beckons

"I don't think he's a dar'manda...just quiet," Solus shrugged. "Anyway, yeah, I could do for a fight. I've been so busy saving honor, and the occasional life, that I let my combat training get rusty." She looked over to he Newcomer. "Let him join too. He looks like he could use some training as well."

Re: Your Mand'alor beckons

"If he decides to talk, he can come along.  I have to retrieve on of my weapons from my ship, and then I'll meet you at the Arena."

:Raj'el Walked confidently out of the Cantina toward the Landing Pad.  He would drop his gear off in the ship, bringing only the following equipment.:

Name: Raj'el Vhett
Gender: Male
Rank: Mandalorian Field Marshal(ret), Bounty Hunter
Armor Color: Tan/Khaki, Olive Drap underlay
Weapon: Prototype Mandalorian Disruptor Rifle, DC17m Commando Blaster
2nd Weapon: Sith Tremor Sword

Re: Your Mand'alor beckons

"I'll just wait here," Solus called after him,  glancing at the newcomer every once in awhile. She knew trying to start a conversation would be fruitless, but she was curious about him, especially his fighting abilities.

Re: Your Mand'alor beckons

Suddenly he speaks up

"I'll watch, too tired to fight, long day"  He remains standing, almost as if he will not, no, cannot sit without being told to do so or suffering crippling injuries, like a statue.

( sorry i haven't responded on a timely basis, busy, you know smile )

Re: Your Mand'alor beckons

(No worries, man.  Just keep up when you can, and expect your silence to recieve many a harsh insult.  Raj'el can be blunt.)

:Raj'el returns to find the newcomer just standing there, still as Carbonite, and Solus still at the bar.:

"You ready?  I assume the alcohol hasn't affected your abilities."

((It's all good smile ))

"I only had one, it's not going to bother me." She stood, pushing her chair in.

"Our burc'ya here said he'd only watch," She informed him, pointing at Rengaw . "He had a long day and he's tired." She held out her arm to Raj'el, a ghost of a grin playing on her lips. "Here, I'll walk you there."

Re: Your Mand'alor beckons

((me thinks you three could use a new person to add confusion to the story, however i only know a coulple of words in Mando'a, do i need to have my character speak it?))
Name: Kal'ak
Rank:Sgt. (or the equivilant of such)
Armor color:Black under suit, Gray armor, with red shoulder plates and T visor red marks cross the helm (like on sev's) (rest of outfit resemples that of Boba, minus the jetpack)
Weapons: DC-17, and a DC-15 (thats the pistol right?) vibroblade, and costumized wristblades (think predator, but slightly different)

Kal'ak walked slowly into the arena, he saw two manolorians fighting/sparing (im assuming that you two are sparring) he decided to watch, it had been a while since he had done so, he would hope to do it again soon. he removed his helmet and relaxed, listening to the sounds of combat.

Re: Your Mand'alor beckons

Instead of approaching the sparring mandos, Rengaw keeps his distance.  He observes the fight from the stands of the arena. (the arena has stands right?) He uses his helmet's built in macrobinoculars to view the fight.  He believes his opinion is unimportant, so he silently comments on the sparring to himself.

Re: Your Mand'alor beckons

"You know, you're pretty good," Solus smirked, swinging her fist at the Raj'el.

"Hope you can duck in time," She goaded, the smirk still on her face. "I don't want to have to fix your wounded honor."

Re: Your Mand'alor beckons

Kal'ak watched, and grinned slightly, the woman was taunting the other, and it looked like it was working. He moved, to get a better view, and saw another mandolorian watching, the mando said "This should be good", to no one in praticular. Kal'ak didnt respond

(Sorry, I wasn't connected for a bit.)

:Raj'el  stands perfectly still, drawing his Sith Tremor sword.:

You might be able to keep up, if I let you.

Re: Your Mand'alor beckons

Solus stopped before she could hit him, raising an eyebrow.

"You'll let me, trust me on that." She pulled out her own Vibrosword, the only thing she had on her at the moment, bringing it down towards Raj'el.

Re: Your Mand'alor beckons

Kal'ak watched more closely, now, they used swords, the woman aimed a strike at the man, but he blocked, he watched them continue, fighting as though they were great enimies, but with an ease to their movements. Kal'ak knew nothing of such things, most of the fights he had been in, were over insults, strictly non-leathal, but not as relaxed.

Re: Your Mand'alor beckons

:Raj'el Blocked and parried, easily, her attacks testing his defense, his own pushing the limits of hers.  This was the game of cat and mouse, slash and parry, opponents warming up for the fight.  He decided he wanted to be the one to take it up a notch,  parrying her blade at the same time as sliding his towards her helmeted face.:

((my cousins one of them is nationally rated and I fenced for a while, im not good, and i dont do it anymore though.))
Kal'ak saw another person in mandolorian armor walk in. He turned his head back to the fight, maby he would spar with someone later.

Re: Your Mand'alor beckons

((I never did, that's why I'm a N00b at it *sweatdrop*))

Solus tilted her head to the side, the blade just grazing her helmet, causing the silver beneath it to show through the blue.

"Looks like we got ourselves an audiance," She observed, never breaking her fluid movements. "Nervous?" She shot at her sparring partner.

Re: Your Mand'alor beckons

"An audience at practice is better than an audience at war."

:He shifted his stance, moving from his one handed saber grip to a two handed Iaido grip, weilding his Sith Tremor Sworrd much as one would wield a lightsaber or a Katana.   He let two near invisible blows go, one feinting again at her head, the second aimed to connect with her legs, where her defense was weakest.:

"You nervous?  You gaurd is getting sloppy down below, medic."

Re: Your Mand'alor beckons

Caught off guard, she fell to one knee. "Got to pay attention, this verd's good," She thought.

"No, I just thought we were playing by the "No hitting below the belt" rule," She spoke aloud, swinging her sword up to counter his attack.

Re: Your Mand'alor beckons

"Jedi don't do that.  The republic won't do that.  A Warrior is ready for any strike, at any time.  Though most call that paranoia."

:He shifted his weight to his lead foot, moving his blade behind him, pointed at the floor, imitating the Makashi lightsaber style that had dealt him his worst wounds.  It was a defensive style, and would give her the leeway she needed to attack, but leave little space to strike through.:

Re: Your Mand'alor beckons

This was getting good, it seemed that the man was gaining the upperhand. He was using lightsaber styles. Things like that were discracefull to mandolorians. The jedi were weak, using their powers during comabat, making up for lack of natural speed strength and skill, imitating their ways would not accomplish anything.

Re: Your Mand'alor beckons

:As if raj'el could hear his thoughts, which he of course could not, he said.:

The Jedi and Revan are the only opponents ever to defeat the Mandalorians in battle.  Their use of the force may be dishoborable, but to emulate their forms, without the force, is and effective tactic.  To learn from your martial superiors makes you a better warrior.  To use these forms effectively without the force one must find strength and speed and skill where it's suppposed to cme from; hard training.

:He continued fighting, not understanding exactly what the other mandalorians thought of him, or caring.  He was no force sensitive, not Jedi.  He had killed jedi, and seen his men cut down at the hands of Revan himself.  These forms were dificult to master without the force, and he was no where near master of them.  And he only new the one....:

Re: Your Mand'alor beckons

Kal'ak continued to watch the fight and continued to think of combat tecniques. Using their combat forms could be an advantage, but a swordsman should develop his own forms, or emulate those of honerable warriors, not swordsmen who rely on special abbilities. War should be fought with blades blasters and fists. There was nothing dishonerable about punching a foe with your freehand during combat, nor was there any dishoner in using technology such as lightsabers, they were good weapons. But emulating Jedi, even if only combat styles, would bring no more skill. You could never acurately reproduce Jedi lightsaber styles, as Jedi relied on the force to weild their blades with such speed and skill.
Kal'ak looked at the newest spectator agian, he also, appeared to be watching the fight.

Re: Your Mand'alor beckons

Weilding her sword like a poolstick, she thrust it forward using one hand, aiming to go through the small space provided.

Grinning beneath her helmet she also lashed out with her hand, aiming for an armor seam, which she knew was a weak spot.
