The BFFC boards will be changing soon. Take a look at the brand-new pages and start using the new version now. You can also contact us with any feedback or requests.

They can't do any harm, only good. If it is a complete failure, people won't beleive in it, just as some people don't beleive in Jango. It would only add to his mystery... But then again, it would also add to his popularity, which could be good or bad. Bad for us, because there would be so many new Fett fans and we would all just become random Fett fans... But think of all the good. Perhaps a Boba Fett video game, more Fett collectibles, more Fett fans to create Fett related things. Also, more promotional images to be rendered and used in graphics.
So the sword has two edges. Personally, I prefer the edge with Boba in the series. All that merchandising is just too much to give up, even if the show stinks.
If they do Boba's personality right (man of little words, extreme morality, etc) it'll be good. If Daniel Logan learns to do Jeremy's cat-walk, it'll be really good.
you guys and gals do have a point but i cant trust the tv networks to do it right but you do have a point on the merchandising that wold mak a lot of new figers to buy.
I didn't read thru all the pages so this has probably been said,
But I heard Mace didn't die in Episode 3 and the Live action series is planned to be Boba Tracking him down...
Never heard that....i don't think Windu could have survived that.....i'm almost certain he died there....actually i am sure that he died there...books confirm it. must be myth...that's all i can say....

I wouldn't be surprised if they did do that for a new tv series. Not only are people brainwashed into loving Mace for some reason, but they want to do anything they can to ruin SW so of course they would make Mace live so they can feature him in a tv series. Of course Mace would be the hero and would only play with Boba, and Boba would be the villian who was always losing, yet never dying.

i know and agree. i hate it when people try to ruin star wars like that. and i can't see why some people worship mace either...maybe they just like Samuel Jackson? idk...but it is rubbish...this whole bringing mace back to life....some people these days.....uuurrrgh.

I don't think they'll bring Mace back to life, and if I'm wrong, I promise you I'll shed tears over the sheer madness of it. I'll also cry if they turned Boba into Wiley Coyote and make fun of him all the time. That would be utter misery. Please GL, let someone who cares about SW write the scripts!
I think you're right, I doubt they'll bring Mace back. I just wouldn't be surprised if they did, but I doubt they would.
Would anyone agree with me that it would be pretty good if Mace turned up as an old hermit in One episode of a boba Fett tv show and at the end of the episode Boba Managed to kill him?
Heh. This brought me out of lurkie mode.
More than anything, I'm scared that it might reeeeeally end up sucking. And if it did end up being all about Fett, then that would suck too cuz it might make him look bad. I have some faith in Daniel, because I think he did a good job in Episode II; it's the writers and directors I'm worried about.
Then again, it could be really hella awesome and I'd have another Fett outlett.
I have some faith in Daniel...
I do too, to an extent. I think if left on his own (with no guidance but that of Jeremy Bulloch) then he could do fantastic. But like you said, bad writers could mess it up. I'm afraid that they would pressure him into making Boba out of character. Like, if they told him, "Boba would do this," and it's totally untrue, I don't know how far Daniel would go to stand up to them.
Glad you're out of Lurkie mode. I too am a former lurker--welcome to the BFFC!

!
Also, he might not know that he's acting out of Fett's character. So, I guess it would depend on one or both of two things. How big a fan he is of the character, or how much work and research he feels he should put into the role.

Thanks.
Actually when the old board was up I use to post here under a different name. But then one day I tried to change my e-mail address and for some reason the ...thing wouldn't send me my new password. So I just sort of drifted away for awhile.
Welcome to the boards fairyblood...we're glad to have you join us.

Yes, very true. I like to think that he's a Fettie and has read everything, but I just don't know. But lots of actors read the original books before they start their performance, so maybe he'll do research when filming begins. Or maybe we'll all just have to hassle him on his blog and tell him to read more. Maybe if he understood how much it means to us, he might be persuaded to put his heart into it.

What does otaku mean?
Oh, I think I know this! It's Japenese for Lil Geek Girl, I think?
Oh yeah, I went to a website one time named Otaku.com, here........:)
It was a time I used to be obsessed with DBZ.

Ooh, I remember you! Good to have you back! The old boards were very buggy and kicked out a bunch of people who didn't want to go. But these work perfectly.
What do you all think is the likelihood that they would hire people like Elizabeth Hand as creative consultants?

Or K.W. Jeter?
He's awesome with his books, too many story lines for me though.
The idea of a new Boba series is just another way to keep SW alive. More power to Lucas! But I dont think I'll like it, cuz it'll mess up the vision I had when reading the Boba Fett kids books.

It will be a cold day in hell when George picks up a Star Wars book.
I agree with most everything Miba said, in that making a live action show featuring Fett would butcher the character as we know him. I'm just a little more worried that he will use Daniel Logan as a "villian" to whatever idiotic, probly Jedi heroes he stars.
What I would like to see though, is a seperately produced anime 26-part series featuring Boba Fett's better hunts (somewhat like Cowboy Bebop.) As long as George doesn't get his fingers in it, I think the high-quality anime medium could depict Fett really well.
But that's just me....
Lol thats pretty funny!
