He then had the Ajax (I think that is waht it was called) put in his skull.

Actually, I believe you're thinking about the Annati or Annanti (Forgot how it's spelled) It's that little ring that Manaroo put in the Cybernetic link on his neck to help him feel emotions again.
yeah thats right its spelled attanni it was screwed into a cranial jack so that would be his skull.
I'm reading the "Bounty Hunter Wars" trilogy now and Dengar comes out as a bleeding heart compared to Boba Fett. Quite a change from how he was portrayed in "Tales in the Bounty Hunters".
But then, just about everyone human comes out as a bleeding heart compared to Boba Fett. Isn't that why we love him?

Oh my, you just gave me a terrible idea to do a Iliad/bounty hunters crossover/parody...do I dare? Must ponder this a while....
All his emotions except rage hope and lonleyness.
Thats why I said "most"
I know i was just telling everyone which emotians he still had left i knew perfectly well you said most.
He was swoop racing in the Crystal swamp of Argelet sorry about the spelling. The Empire did turn him into an assassin during the surgery to save his life they left him with only three emotions hate rage and loneliness, it was actualy Dengars girlfriend who saved Fett because once Dengar learned who he had pulled out of the sand he was ready to kill him. Long story short Fett set Dengar up in Jabba's Palace that's why he wasn't on the sail barge. Dengar pulls Fett from the sand girl steps in Fett lives on.

Partly I think that was Manaroo's influence. But also I think it was because of the perspective we were supposed to have as readers. The Bounty Hunter Wars, if you ask me, is from Dengar's perspective half the time (though I haven't read it in a while). Kinda like how Frodo is the hero of LOTR but Sam is the character we're supposed to associate with. Since Dengar was the more personal character in the BHW, we got to see more of his true feelings, while in Tales of the Bounty Hunters he only told us what he wanted us to see, because he was trying to keep up an image. (Sure it's not a first-person story, but it follows one character, whom the narrator is almost constantly with.)
Perhaps Boba, being the crazy guy he is, wasn't accessible enough as a story-telling character, so Dengar was used as the sane eyes we could see Fett through. Someone who, like us, was amazed at what Fett could do. If we had seen things through Fett's eyes instead, we might not have understood his motivation because he's such an "alien" being to us. Plus he might have become excessively human.
Then again, I could be overanalyzing this.
if they took away most of his emotions, then how can he experience love
i have found this databank that says dengar crashed into solo and blamed him for the injury he recieved

Overanalysis? No such thing!
Your analysis makes a lot of sense. I did get the feeling while reading BHW that we were supposed to identify with Dengar and see things through his eyes, for in many ways he was the most "human" of the characters. It made Fett seem all the more extraordinary in contrast.
This could be the same reason that Fett seems so "alien" and emotionless in some books and yet so human in Traviss's works. It's all a matter of narrative perspective!
This sounds like the makings of a good dissertation.

Nope trust me its the other way round.

He eventually got his emotions back. Also, try not to post twice in a row.
ok, i will try
Any idea of what Dengars armor is made out of, and what style if you can call it one is?
It is re-painted stormtrooper and snowtrooper armor.
and sandtrooper armour
Dengar was trained as an Imperial Assassin. He underwent brain surgery that replaced gis hypothalamus with circuitry, making him nearly unfeeling. he is now a bounty hunter who claimed 23 bounties and has a personal grudge against Han Solo for severe injuries he suffered racing him through the crystal swamps of Agrilat.
Thats copyed from the star wars visual dictionary isnt it?

Now, were those 23 bounties from before or after he hooked up with Boba?
Dengar's in my top 5 Bounty Hunters, it's quite funny cause i'm reading his story in Tales Of The Bounty Hunters at the mo, its a very good story. I recommend it to anyone who hasn't read TOTB.
