Topic: Half Life 2 please help

I just got Half life 2 holiday 2006 collection, the problem is the console [~] wont come down in the game for the cheats, can some one please tell me how to get it working I really suck at games.

I would i'm just too lazy to go through all the things to set up accounts. But...:( there is no solution no cheats work :'( the one thing I dispise about the collection, Half-Life 1 is one hell of a hard game even on easy settings theres too much of the "the floor is made of lava" in both HL1 and HL2 along with all there expansion packs.

I beat it in a few days, I think...are you stuck on a certian part?  I'm not a big fan of cheats, even in singleplayer, but I'd be glad to offer any advice if you're stuck in a particullar situation...even though I haven't played the game in a year or so. ^_^

I'm not stuck any where I can get through the levels i just hate how easily you die in the game every thing you do u get injured, half life 2 is sooo much easyier i beat it pretty quik.

But I really suck at most games so I need cheats its a miracle if i can beat a game without cheats i think the only games I've beat with out cheats are all the Army Men games, Halo, and all the star wars games that i got.

Halo is a lot harder than Half-Life in my opinion...

Are you talking about the version that runs through Steam? If so, right click on the game in the "my games" list, go to "properties" and click on "set launch options". You see a box you can type in. Type "-console" and click ok. When you start the game, there will be a console you can type your cheats into.

If this doesn't work, or I am rambling on about stuff you already know, I apologize for my stupidity. wink
