The dream came finally true!
The Book Of Boba Fett is a real thing! We are going to have an original BobaFett series, folks!
I think this is a great opportunity to take advantage of all the possibilities that Boba hides behind him.
It’s set within the timeline of The Mandalorian. The best part is that we’ll get to see how his armor deteriorates until it looks like the original one big_smile
Jokes aside, I’m really happy to see that the storyline will proceed on this specific timeline, because I have the feeling that Fennec and Boba can become a great duo. And who knows if he will reunite with other familiar bounty hunters... Who would you like to see back again? Maybe Bossk, Zuckuss, 4-LOM, IG-88... And why? I’ll read you!
I’m sure that we’ll also witness some flashbacks, that will probably focus on explaining how he escaped from The Sarlacc, among other stuff. What I love the most is that they intend to bring the material we want to see, and I’m sure they know we’d love to know more about this.
And seeing him sitting on that throne left me speechless, not gonna lie. I have no idea what his intentions are! Is he going to create a new Bounty Hunter’s Guild? Or maybe just a new bounty hunter team, being Jabba’s palace their new base?
I must say I love those ROTJ vibes...
I just have no idea, but I love thinking of new possibilities!
I fully rely on Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni and Rodriguez, who are probably the most suitable directors to carry out this project.
To bring our king back. #HelmetNod
I think this is a surreal experience for a lot us fans. Speaking as someone who joined this forum over 10 years ago around the age of 16-17 (I'm 31 now, holy ****! haha), this is just... everything that a teenage Jess could have asked for. I remember one of the main reasons BFFC was such a wonderful outlet for me, was because the Fett fandom was so obscure and the actual Fett + Mando content was pretty slim at the time. Now, we're heading into what could become the Golden Age of Fett fandom. It's nothing short of amazing.
I'm really excited. Not only do I want to see the badassery of Boba Fett, but I also hope the showrunners take the time to explore his character in a way that the recent comics haven't. I really want us to have a better understanding of Fett's psychology - how has losing his father at a young age shaped him into the man he is today? How has the process of aging into *his father* potentially messed him up psychologically? And what about the clones, the taunts from Bo-Katan (and likely from others) who condemn what Jango did - is that something that Boba Fett himself has also had to process and come to terms with? I have SO many questions about how Boba has struggled and coped with all of these complex issues, that I sincerely hope we do get a few deep dives into some of these questions. More than being a badass, his complex origins are what make Boba so fascinating to me. (in the meantime, this is why I started writing fanfic, haha).
As for the whole Jabba's palace scene, I don't quite know what to make of it just yet. I could see him running a guild, but I'm not sure I see him as the kingpin of some criminal underworld, if that makes sense? I also can't help but wonder if he blames Jabba + Bib for what happened on Tatooine the day he fell into the Sarlacc, so perhaps his coup was revenge motivated. I'm eager to learn more about it.
As for other hunters... I always enjoyed the Boba and Bossk rivalry, would be fun to see that in the show. (IIRC, I think the rivalry had always been mostly one sided in legends, where Bossk considered Boba a strong rival but Boba was basically like "***** please" with respect to Bossk's abilities lol). I don't think we've yet to see a live action Trandoshan since any of the films, right? So that would be awesome to see in its own right, too, with today's technology.
