Re: The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 7
I did like the reference to the Battlefront 2 video game campaign missions.

Wonder how long the clean paint job will last? It is going to take a while to get used to it.
I'm hoping this will be an indicator that Fett is here to stay, at least for the near future.
I certainly can't wait to get my hands on a TVC figure of him based on his appearance(s) in the show - I mean there's, what, at least three distinct looks based on his appearance in the show? From 'Nomad', to 'Tython' (wearing the worn armor over the robes) to the newest look where he's incorporated the armor into the robes - each is definitely distinct enough to warrant figures
I wouldn't expect Fett to be a regular on the show, or even necessarily appear again, once they've rescued Grogu. And that's how I think I'd like it to be for this show - and for Fett to appear on other shows or have his own series.
Can't wait for that black series figure to come out with that fresh paint job though!
Such a fun episode! I'm really loving the fact that Bill Burr and his boston accent are part of the SW universe now, a great morally gray character.
Speaking of morally gray characters, Boba. Man do I love that new outfit a whole lot. And I still can't get over the fact he just... is part of my media diet. There he is, making jokes being a clone and helping our main character. It's amazing, really.
And yeah, hopefully the new design means he won't get killed off.
Even though Boba didn't take up a lot of screen time in this episode he still manages to rock! The new paint job on his helmet & armor definitely looks a little too new though. Kinda wished that the filmmakers kept it as is. The Slave 1 looks as awesome as ever and I love the rotating insides of the ship too! The seismic charge bomb was excellent as well!
Isn’t it beautiful that we got to see more of the interior of Slave One?
BroBa, soooo much more. It's spinning like a gyroscope, looking all kinds of directions, and then the cockpit plus this lounge space. Fancy moves, classic explosions. Incredible.
Do you guys think Boba will bite the dust in Episode 8? I'm kinda worried that maybe Din will inherit the Slave 1, I hope not but who knows. I have a friend who's very keen on the idea.
HunterOfTheWeb064, no.

That would anger me beyond all belief if Boba dies in the season finale next Friday! And I wonder why we are no longer getting the Boba Fett mini-series that was promised a few weeks ago.
ctxboy1981, it was a rumor started by Deadline. It was never promised.
More to come. Wrapping up the full set of key frames.
I feel like if anything him not getting a mini-series means he’s here to stay for a bit. Plus it would be really odd for them to bring back a popular/fan-favorite character just to kill them off again so quickly. When Darth Maul was brought back, he stayed for a while.

Impossible that he dies in the next episode ... Right after giving him a new outfit and repainted armor.
He will live and be present in Season 3. I'm sure they will find an excuse to make him stay in the band.
Is it me, or does it look like they still put the "patch job plate" on the back of his ESB colored jetpack anyways, even though you can see the ROTJ version he recovered in the previous episode sitting inside the Slave 1? There's a faint outline of something diagonally that looks like the same area the patch is located, in the pic above.
Oops. Something else to digitally edit out, I guess?
Yeah, I noticed that. And the ROTJ jetpack which disappears and reappears according to plans. Whoops

This show should've been a Boba Fett show.
Agreed! While this is just a rumor, not too long after the Hollywood Reporter dropped the story of Boba Fett being in season 2 (back in May of 2020), another story came out from another site (not sure which one but it was not the Hollywood Reporter) said that apparently Fett will have “a much larger role” in season 3. Whether it’s true or not or even credible remains to be seen. But hopefully it’s true!

For which outlet (big and small) said something of substance, see https://www.bobafettfanclub.com/news/fe … v-series/. May 11 was a report of Temuera in Season 3 from TheDirect, which is not as well known and therefore to be taken with a grain of salt. May 19 had the /Film article about Cobb and they were the only ones, ending up getting it right. Other stuff like that is on there.
All the rest of the hi-res stills are now up in two places, depending on how you like to browse 'em:

Enjoy!
Do you think the presence of Fett's second jetpack (empire colour scheme) suggests the possible presence of either multiple jet packs I his possession, somewhat of a collection; or the possibility that Fett has done battle with others sporting Mandalorian armour in the past?
