Topic: My Boba Fett Movie Concept: 'Boba Fett: A Star Wars Story'
Previously, I made a thread discussing an idea I had for a possible Boba Fett standalone film, which you can find here: https://www.bobafettfanclub.com/boards/ … idea-down/
Anyways, I've come back with an even BETTER idea than the last one. You can compare my two ideas but I feel like this one is a lot more "western-y", and it'll have plenty of classic western stand-offs!
Anyway, I'll break down my idea:
A few months after the events of Return of the Jedi, Boba has escaped the Sarlacc Pit. Yeah, he was stuck in there for a while. He probably had to use...certain methods...for food and water. Anyway, as presented in Legends, Dengar's the one who discovers him and attempts to recover him. Unknowingly to Dengar, the rebellion (at it's prime now), knew he would be there, and arrests the both of them for their crimes during the Empire days. They imprison them for a while, until
The Rebellion, taking him to a conference room where they present him with a briefcase, attempts to strike a deal with Boba. The "briefcase" in question I'll discuss near the end. Anyway, The Rebellion needs a few other bounty hunters Boba collaborated in the past Dead, or Alive. Like Embo (Yes, THAT Embo.), Zuckass & 4-LOM, and the big one...Bossk.
Boba accepts, seeing what the briefcase MacGuffin presents for him. Dengar is implied to have also taken a few jobs under the rebellion. But anyway, now it's time for redemption. Boba hunts down Embo, they fight for a bit in what I can assume is a snowy planet akin to Hoth. Dengar tags along with Boba to hunt down Zuckass and 4-LOM, who started their own group of bounty hunters like the one in Star Wars Bloodlines. Dengar takes a strong interest in what the rebellion is offering Fett, especially the cash reward AND the briefcase.
Anyways, the final act is the hunt for Bossk. There's a flashback at the beginning of the movie depicting Boba and Bossk on a mission, to establish that they had a father-son relationship at one point. So fast forward and Boba and Bossk have a one-off duel on top of a mountain and it gets pretty emotional considering what Bossk and Boba had during Clone Wars. Boba wins the duel but at the cost of his respect for himself. You can tell purely by his movements during the "in-between" scenes in his Slave 1 that he doesn't want to do what he's doing, and that's an aspect I want to focus on. a lot, that Boba Fett rarely talks in the movie.
Anyway, Boba is dragging Bossk's body before being confronted by Dengar. Bummer that Boba has Embo, Zuckass, and 4-Lom's remains on his ship, making a perfect opportunity for Dengar to take advantage of it. Is it scummy? Yes. But I feel like Dengar is the type of person to do that.
Boba and Dengar have a small shoot off, whoops Dengar dies. Now Boba has killed EVERYONE from the original Bounty Hunter room (Keep in mind Boba killed IG-88 in Cloud City back in Empire).
Boba buries Dengar and retrieves his bounty from the rebels back on their base. Except, Boba refuses the cash reward. He only wants the briefcase, which they comply.
Now, what is in the brief case? Well, there are 3 items. A severed finger, a lightsaber, and a portion of a larger map. The final scene is Boba taking the other portion of the map, snapping the two together to reveal a full map. He then says his (hopefully) first and only words in the whole movie... "Windu..."
This sets up a sequel, which I also have an idea for. But this is the first film, what do you guys think?
