Topic: The Mandalorian - Episode 8

Wow. Best episode yet. So much to unpack.

IG-11 to the rescue in so many ways.
The Darksaber showing up in the end.
The Mandalorian being unmasked... by the droid to save his life.
Getting and using the jetpack.
Earning his sigil.
Baby Yoda stopping fire.
The Armorer kicking Imperial butt.

Seeing the Death Watch in live action was amazing. Plus seeing the Darksaber in live action? So cool.

Re: The Mandalorian - Episode 8

All was impressive. But that final has me so intrigued. How did Moff to get the Dark Saber?
He had to stole it from the Mandalorians, that’s for sure. But, since when does he have it? As we saw that many Mandos have died recently, maybe they had it hidden on their den, and then, he stole it. Or maybe he has it since long time ago. We must discover!

Also, I’m a little bit confused because we have lost two important characters: IG and Kuiil.
I don’t know, I thought that they would be appearing more time, as important characters during the series. What do you think will happen? Will we see them again?

TheIronWolf, two great moments indeed. Some noticed the paint/colors of the Death Watch was different or odd based on the era that that flashback is considered to take place. What do you think about that?

Juan, it seems implied that Moff was responsible for wiping out the Mandalorians, so getting the "crown jewel" Darksaber would be like a spoil of war -- taken thru defeating one's enemy. As for Kuiil and IG, they seem like they're gone for good unfortunately.

I personally liked the ending with the Darksaber reveal and IG-11's sacrifice. In many of my "writings" (my way of saying fanfiction), I actually wrote Boba Fett ending up with the darksaber, as I thought it would be an interesting way to expand his ever-growing arsenal. But seeing Moff Gideon use it was genuinely exciting/surprising.

Re: The Mandalorian - Episode 8

I am curious to see the direction followed with The Armourer, as I can see her being revealed as someone important like Sabine Wren or Bo Katan. And given that the Mando is part of 'a clan of two' will he give The Child a Mandalorian name.

Now, I'm looking forward to the "Siege of Mandalore" story arc on the upcoming last season of the Clone Wars cartoon that Disney let Dave Filoni FINALLY finish making.

The Death Watch scene was an incredible moment, but when Djarin took on the TIE with a flipping jetpack, that blew me away. Also the connection to the Siege of Mandalore and Rebels with the Darksaber was awesome. I'm interested for more content on The Way and their helmets policy as well.
