Topic: fav.lightsaber battle?

Through the sw films theres alot of awesome lightsaber battles
what ones do you like most and why??I would deffinattly have to say the battle of obiwan and anakin in episode 3 that battle is pretty awesome!!!Especially when there fighting way up in the air on that beam thats over the lava i love that part of the battle!!!

I'd have to say the fight between luke and vader in ESB.

I like either the Duel of the fates fight, or maybe Yoda vs Dooku.

Yoda vs. Count Dooku was funny.

Either the battle between Luke and Vader in ESB, or the battle between Luke and Vader in ROTJ.

But the three way fight between Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, and Maul was VERY impressive

Why? I thought it was Awesome, considering it was the first time Yoda fought with a lightsaber.

I'm with RC-3222 on the Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon and Darth Maul battle. I love Darth Maul's fighting style it's awesome. Double ended blades are so cool :D

I'm also going to have to go with the 3-way fight with Darth Maul, but I did like Evil Anakin's fight vs Obi-Wan as well.

It was awsome as well as funny.  Didn't you think it was funny as well as awsome to see the little short guy whupping the tar out of Count Dooku?  When I went and saw ATOC, half the people in the theater started laughing.

Really? Ok, Ok......maybe it was funny for a couple seconds. But when he finally stopped jumpin around, the theaters audience I went to clapped a little. :)

I was ROLLING when Yoda began to fight! I mean, he walks in with his little gimer (I think that's what it is...) stick, and then he starts to flip and twirl like a crazy man (for lack of a better term :P)!

Kinda like Willi Wonka in 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'. :D When he came out with a cane, and then did a flip or something.

The battle between Count Dooku and Anakin in Attack of the Clones was good.  When Anakin picked up 2 lightsabers and fought Dooku with them.  But Dooku was still able to easily beat him.  Then the momment when it showed the red and blue glow of the sabers was amazing.

Ya i like the part were obiwan throws anakin the lightsaber then he cuts the electricity and all you can see is the lightsabers not the people its pretty cool!Good posts so far everyone keep posting!!!!!!!!!!!

THe Greivous and Obi-wan fight was also cool.

I don't think it was, it seemed more a fluke than a fight because obi-wan whooped Grevious's butt so easily
Yoda vs. Emporer
Anikan vs. obi-wan
1. Because of the lava
2. because of Yoda's mad skillz

I like the arena fight...but i don't think that is really considered a lightsaber battle.   SOOOO  I guess i have to go with ESB - Vader and Luke. Awesome battle there....

My fav is still probably the Darth Maul battle with Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan.  I just think it was too short.  It could've been the best lightsaber battle of all, but it was just too short.

It is very close.....but I'd have to say that I like the ESB one. Thats the famous "Im your father battle". :P

Yeah,I really like this battle too...But I think that in the first trilogy the battles were not so fascinating...

Well you have to remember, this was back in the 70s and 80s. Plus, Lucas didnt really have much time to create a whole new form of sword fighting. I think this sword expert made up the whole technique by himself after the old trilogy. Thats why I think that the battles are better now.

Qui-Gon never really impressed me, so that battle wasn't my favorite.  Although that move by obi-wan was totally awesome. When i first saw it, i was like    drooling....hehehe    but    now   its just   O K....

The last strike by Obi-Wan was tottaly unfair.Maul had all the time to react.They did it for the purposes of the movie...

I second that, IG-88.

I thought it was amazing, but I also agree: Obi Wan was far better than Qui-Gon.
Maul moved like a wild cat; all grace and speed. It was completely absorbing, though I hated the fact Maul got sliced and diced.  I felt the character was meant for far more than the hand he was dealt.

Yeah i think when Obi was hanging there Maul would have probably been able to use the force to knock him off.

One force push,that's all.And the moment Obi-Wan was jumping,Maul had all the time to cut him in 2....But GL decided to make him look surprised...Hmph.Figures.

I didn't really like the DDooku battle.Only when he fights with Yoda.

Yes, I agree with that because it didn't last too long, Dooku died way too fast

And that Yoda fight was like my second favorite :D

Dont worry DMC, Im sure he syrvived!!! lol :D
He coulda just took his body while he was falling, sewn it back up, and climb all the way up when everyone was gone! :lol:
