Topic: Nameing pet after Fett

Is it alright to name a Pet for the Fett? I named my cat for the Fett, but that was cause I know that names affect the outcome of how young mammals turn out. I just wanted to make him more Fett-like. But... Is that... understandable? Am I a loser or am I too geeky? Should I shoot the cat and start over? I dont want to...
I like having my own Fett...
But I feel conflicted...
Am I depreciating the Fett by naming my cat for him? Am I making light of a personal hero?

My Bio teacher's cats are named Yoda and Obi.  I'm told Obi is extremely fat and lazy.  Any corrolation?  Hmmmm...

You know we call him Boba, not "The Fett." He's not like the Fonz or something.

My cats are named Mara and Atton, for Mara Jade (obviously) and Atton Rand (from KOTOR II). I don't see why not to name your cat after Fett.

I say "the Fett" cause it is a habit I picked up since I named my cat for him. See having a cat named for Boba has changed my speech patterns. Now I feel worried.

My cats don't have super interisting names, just Toby and Katie. I don't see anything wrong with naming your cat after Boba Fett though.

I don't see anything wrong with naming your pet after Boba. We have a cat named Mankar Cameron  after a character in the video game Elder Scrolls Oblivion.

It did cross my mind when I got Siris   but somehow it doesn't seem to be a Pet's name
even naming a Pet.. Bowie ....doesn't ring right ,,I called Siris after the Egyptian God

I named my cat after Boba cause he is part Bobcat and well... he is rather like Fett. He ambushes people without forewarning and bites (gently without drawing blood like "I could bite you but I didnt try to hurt you" on the back of the knee) people. I dont know why he is so ferocious but I love it. I dont regret naming him as I did but I find it slightly disturbing that I have somehow changed my personal habits based on the fact that I named my cat after Boba.

Huh your cat has the same exact personality as Toby, except Toby was VERY ferocious in his youth (most of my friends who would come over to my house were afraid of him...), though he slowly got better and finally mellowed out in his old age. Though, I think its purely because he got too old to be that mean.

    And I have MICE at home, don't know if in US people keep mice, but we do, they are so popular here, not chipmunks, though I had chipmunks some years ago, not hamsters, they are...hmmm... smaller than rats(that are wild) and bigger than wild mice - some sort of "decorative mice-rats".
    Never thought about a cat, the fact that she might scratch the walls, mark territory, and some others....they are scaring, maybe cause of this I have only mice at home :) But nevertheless they are very nice and clever too, at least they do not bite and scratch :)
     And my mouse Alice gave birth to little mice a month ago, my friends took practically all of them to their place, and my sis and I have left a girl-mouse, and as in Star Wars there's not so many attractive for us female-characters, we named her Leia. By the way, sisters friend has left the name Luke for her boy-mouse, Alice's cub too. :)
   
I can say that it's strange for me to name a pet after favourite character, just can't understand... Think if my pet was named after Fett, and it sounds a bit weird...
Nevertheless, I think that naming a CAR in such a way is a great idea!!! :)

Sure we keep mice and rats as pets in the states. They're fairly popular, but not the most common of pets. Mostly though, I think people buy and breed them to feed reptiles such as snakes.

I am glad your cat mellowed out that is a good sign. Mine hade a buddy of mine hiding in our spare bedroom...  This guy is a seasoned combat vet so for him to hide it has to be UGLY LOL

I realize this is a redundant post here considering I've done it before but.. Bats, you seem like a nice enough lady I just can't figure out what in the screaming yellow honkers you are saying.  Use punctuation correctly, for the love of sanity.  It's like reading an EE Cummings poem, only without any meaning or artistry to it.

I have a pitbull named Boba Fett and we call him Boba Fett...well, Boba most of the time...Boba Fett when he gets into stuff.
