Blu-Ray is the next generation DVD as you all probably know.

I have seen blu-ray on an HD TV and it ia amazing. I have seen Casino Royale and Pirates of the Caribbean on Blu-ray and the picture quality ism amazing, so sharp and clear.

Imagine how good Star Wars would be on blu-ray.

I am getting HD TV and Blu-ray at the end of the year along with The Clone Wars on blu-ray and Die hard quadrilogy on blu ray.

Would do you people think of blu-ray?

Bluray sucks, HD is much better quality I have no idea why or how bluray won out.

Reality doesn't care if you believe in it.

Probably because PS3 comes with Bluray. So thats automatically sales that were counted towards it. And the spelling bugs me. Why can't they have been bothered to spell its BLUEray, not Bluray. All this Generation-X "cool" crap spelling is retarded.

1 word, Disney.  As soon as blu-ray got the deal with Disney it was all over for HD.

blu-ray holds more data, thats why it is superior. I have a ps3, makes my regular dvds look kick ass! so far the only bluray dvd I have is terminator 2, At this moment theres not many dvds on bluray that I want, all the ones that I might have wanted, I already have on regular dvd.

Blu-Ray is high-definition. HD-DVD was, too.

DVD is standard-definition.

Blu-ray is better because of the storage capacity, 20 GB more than HDDVD... More capacity = clearer, sharper picture.

And the PS3 rules. :D

No, you have to have either a PS3 or a Blu-Ray player.

The main concern with I have with Bluray is that it not become ubiquitous too soon. I already have a DVD/VHS combo machine. going out and getting yet another player just sounds like kind of much.

there's no point in going out to buy a Blu-ray player if you've already got a DVD player, unless the machines break down.

There should be a minimum amount of machines in your house when they take over anyways. The less threat you know? Any day now...
