No, I don't have a GPS...but I like orienteering. So I suppose you could say, I let the geocachers do the work, then I go out and reap the benefits. ;)

ya never know, but whenever i think of alaska, i think cooooold. But maybe that's just me, it's probably real nice in the summer. By the way, What is this whole Geocaching thing anywayz....i'm lost b/c i've never heard of it....any help here?

It's really fun, it's basically treasure hunting with a GPS. You log your find in the cache then on the internet. You can also place your own caches for other people to find. So Bobathekid, you could place some caches in Alaska to get the ball rolling if there's very few around. :D

Oh, I was thinking it was when people work together to get the entire world mapped on GPS. Like the spelunkers that came to my house wanting to map our caves. BUT treasure hunting sounds like a ton of fun. I wonder if we have any groups around here? It would certainly be a good reason to buy a GPS.

do you have to have a GPS to begin "treasure hunting"....i assume you do, and i don't. But wow, it sounds like a ton of fun.
