Haven't done one of these in a while.

The Rules:

1. You may create any character you want. But please have some variety and clarify their name and species so others can follow their actions easily.

1.5: No all powerful characters, be fair to other players.

2. You can kill characters you create but you can't kill other people's characters unless they say they have been killed in battle with you. However you can wound them...

3. You can have any weapon you want but you can only have what your character could physically carry - otherwise they wouldn't be able to move.

4. Be consistent, eg if someone says they blew up a building, don't suddenly be assaulting it.

5. If you have sustained many wounds you will have to either get medical help or eventually die.

6. Follow the storyline, sure add a few twists and turns but allow others to see where you want to go so they can help you get there.

7. Have fun.

Premise:
In the wake of a fallen Sith lord a power vacuum has developed. Fortunately this struggle is fought on a microscale. Unfortunately, said microscale is one lost populated solar system sitting on the knife's edge of the outer rim. Its star, Joris is slowly peaking, soon these worlds will be unihabitable.
Woven together in the miriad of deception and revenge are those remaining. Jedi, Sith, and the like. Neutral entities bought and coerced to fight in this fueled conflcit. Should a Sith lord rise to power once more, the galaxy will be pulled down into a deep darkness.
Take your side. Defend or Conquer. Get paid. Strive for the common good.

Requirements-
Name:
Age:
Species:
Allegiance(for non-Jedi/Sith):
Occupation/Jedi/Sith:
Lightsaber model and color (if a Jedi or Sith):
Clothing and armor:
Weapons:
Short character description:
Misc. Info:

I'll have a character for myself in my next post hopefully.

ANY CHARACTER?

Name: Je-

Nevermind, used that already.

Name: Juvenal
Age: 29
Species: Human
Occupation/Sith/Jedi: Dark Jedi
Lightsaber/Appearance: http://tn3-2.deviantart.com/fs8/300W/i/2005/313/f/f/Sith_by_VergilDemon.jpg
Short description: Juvenal is capable of speaking the ancient Sith language (as spoken by Darth Nihilus in KotOR II). He is fearless (although he hopes that he is the Sith'ari), and running away from that guy is basically suicide.
Misc. info: Likes Jawa Juice. I honestly couldn't think of anything more miscellaneous lol.

Name: Maro Rocol
Age: 26
Species: human
Occupation: Jedi Knight
Lightsaber model and color: lightsaber pike, silver
Clothing and armor: medium strength chest plate, covered by long sleeved hooded robe. Standard pants with kama.
Weapons: Cortosis straight vibro-sword
Short character description: Student of a rare non-lightsaber form, Maro brandishes the pike as a matter of course and has grown quite able with the weapon over the last few conflicts.

It was a red dawn, a brilliant entrance to the failing sun. Maro watched it edge over the horizon from behind the holed pieces of a crashed starship. He pulled his hood back on and turned away, walking through the stellar graveyard pike tucked under the arm, sword hung loosely from his belt. This planet was too menacing, it gave the feeling that these ships had been engulfed from the sky. A Sith playground that meddled with your senses.
On the other side of the scrap yard was an old installment, left over from mercenaries past. Within was a mystery, he'd never had time to fulfill his curiosity.
War does that to a being.
Now he was hunting medpacks, a rusting medical droid, just something for the remaining injured. The force had led him here.

(I don't have much to go on, on my own.)

Name: Ben Griffin
Age: 26
Species: Human
Occupation: Mercenary
Clothing and armor: Dark brown robes with hood, A heavy durasteel armor breast plate, gauntlets and boots, concealed by the robes and a small head set.
Weapons: A KX-60 Blaster Rifle and a small vibroblade, (like a combat/survival knife)
Short character description: Standing at 5 foot 10, Griffen is hardy man. with long brown hair and a short stubby goatee. He has no distinguising marks except for a slight scar running down the left side of his face.

Griffin walked the barren plains of the planet, what once had been a battlefield it seemed. Burnt out walkers littered the ground unrecognizable. just a pile of junk, even that, is all that remained But someone had found use of it. A group of pirates had settled down here to use the parts for there ships and buildings and the terrain to cover them from any strikes But Griffin was hired to take down the leader of this syndicate, bringing his KX-60 Blaster Rifle to his shoulder he lowered his hood and prowled the debris untill he heard someone.

"Lets see, i guess we can use this!" The voice was blunt and lacked any expression nor emotion

"No you cant but i can use you" Griffin placed the barrel of his gun to the mans neck "One shot and your head goes for a tumble" Griffin winked "Now wheres your leader....."

"Im here...." Griffin spun around only to see the pirate captain and two lackeys flanking him blaster pistols raised at the position of Griffins chest

"Oh crap" Griffin whispered before shrugging, as the pirate who he recently had at gun point took out his blaster, Griffin spun around snapping the mans wrist taking the pistol from his hand and using him as a shield firing two blasts of it; dead into the lackeys surrounding the captain.

"Now your turn" Griffin then grinned snapping his 'shields' neck

The captain fired three shots into the 'shield' taking the hits leaving Griffin unscarred, griffin then spun to the right firing three shots, two hitting the pirate captain in the chest the third hitting him right between the eyes.

Griffin walked to the captain's corpse, placing his right foot on his chest and lighting a cigar up

"That'll pay well i hope"

(( Little introduction to my character, hope its okay ))

I'll join, and give it a try. Sorry stuff isn't Italicized.

Name: Kal Goran [blade, blacksmith]

Age: 27

Appearance: 6’2, well built and well-muscled. Blond hair, worn longish, small goatee . Bright blue eyes. Average scarring.

Armor: Black beskar’gam, gold highlights around the T-slit visor, and on his gauntlets. Red Mythosaur skull on his right shoulder piece. Gauntlet vibroblade in right gauntlet, as well as a dart launcher/wrist rocket. Grapnel cord in left, and a cutting laser. Flamethrower attachment available as a snap on replacement.

Weapons: Black-handled beskad, with gold tracings. Modified Verpine shatter gun, Assault model (turns into sniper with longer barrel and a scope added). Blastech Rifle, handguns, knives, etc. Various other weapons depend on situation.

Ship: Custom Mandal-Motors ship, effective size comparable to Slave I. Name, Tra’kad, Mando’a for “Star Saber”. Heavily armed, it was designed as a mercenary’s ship, not a bounty hunter’s, but does have two small cages for prisoners. Sleek

History: Born on Mandalore to Orar and Behot Goran. His father, Orar, was a blacksmith by trade, and taught his son the craft from early age. By the age of five, Kal had forged his first blade. By fourteen, he had forged his bes’kad, which he uses to this day. His parents and family were all instrumental in his training as a warrior, a true verd of the Mandalorian society. He was taught how to fight by his father and heal by his mother, whose name means “herb”. But Behot is dangerous, like many herbs—used wrong, they can be a poison. She too taught him how to fight. He was taught love, loyalty, discipline, and respect throughout his early life.  His father’s name, Orar, means “thunder”, and his deep voice and eyes that flash when angry prove this no misnomer. But his gruffness was rarely feared by his children, because he was kind and he loved them fiercely. Of all his sons, Kal showed the most interest and aptitude at his father’s trade, and father and son spent much time working in their forge. Kal loved

His older brother, Kom’rk, was a frequent sparring partner in his early years, and they have a relationship stronger than a beskar chain—nothing can separate them. Together, they are nigh unstoppable in battle, and have fought together on numerous occasions.

Kal has two twin brothers, younger than him. They never showed much interest in forging weapons or learning how to heal, preferring to spar or play pranks.

When he was fifteen, Kal forged himself his own armor, an unusual practice for such a young warrior. Kal painted it black, symbolizing the justice the galaxy so often lacks. The gold highlights, though, promise swift vengeance to any who should harm those he loves. On his sixteenth birthday, his father presented him with a ge’kal, or a small knife that is concealed in a boot or under the armpit (lit. “almost blade”).

Kal had the poor luck to be chasing a bounty in the Joris System, and is stuck there due to the chaos.

Personality: Kal is very loyal—to his family, Mandalorians in general, and to anyone who earns his trust. He is friendly among those he trusts, but less so among strangers and arruetii. He’s a fun loving guy, able to joke even amidst the toughest battle.  Though more compassionate than most Mandalorians, Kal is still a fierce fighter, and merciless in combat.

Skills: The best swordsman of his family, indeed, among the best on Mandalore. He’s a crack shot with any weapon, too. Passable explosives skills, and is a passable slicing skills. Kal is an excellent pilot, as well.

Likes: Forging weapons, flying Tra’kad, sparring, and fighting. Kal loves to spend time with his family and friends.

Dislikes: Sith, some Jedi.

I've got a question: How does this officially start? Are we all just able to sense the power vacuum?

August 27, 2008 6:59 pm #

Ever heard the line, about Jango killing Jedi barehanded? Or see the scene where he nearly killed Obi-one? Yeah. And I'm talking about sword to lightsabre combat.

I was sort of cutting corners there, just say some stuff has already happened. People are there and the fighting has begun. I've been kind of fighting math homework so I can't pull together my scrambled brain for a better explanation.
I'm sorry if I'm making this difficult for anyone. I'll try my best to answer all your questions and hopefully we can all have fun.

So you're comparing your Mando to Jango Fett? Cuz if we're going to do that then i might as well have my Jedi know the lost art of Vapaad...

I know it's hard to believe but I am a mod, so don't take it too far with this arguement.
Werda, if you could tone your character down a bit, if you're too good it can be obnoxious in an RPG. I know from experience, I was the one doing it.

Jango Fett was exceptional, the best bounty hunter of his time. I'm not saying your character can't be awesome but maybe you can lead in to abilities instead of starting out with them. The experiences improve your character.

MK, dont over-react. Its ok. I'm pulling out of this RPG, i have very little free time now that classes started and I dont think i can give the time to this rpg that is necessary. WV, do what you will, but i was just saying what MK had mentioned. Over powered characters annoy the hell out of everyone and take the fun out of an rpg.

No, I was comparing him to a Mandalorian. Which he was. But sure. I'll tone him down.

(Okay, I will start off!)

Deep in a hidden mountain fortress on Rhen Var, Juvenal was meditating in a private chamber when he felt an enormous power surge. Outer Rim... Joris system... dying... could be my chance...

With those fleeting words, Juvenal prepared his shuttle to venture to this dying system.

Maro gingerly stepped through the opening blast doors, they'd been unlocked. Opened with the tap of a button, it undid a little of his nerve. He continued on, glad to see the hole eroded out of the ceiling. Morning light speckled in, illuminating sections of the purmacrete floor.
This room had been a hangar, the equipment was still there. Malfunctioning he assumed, the room had been cleaned out of everything else. Across the room was another set of blast doors, open. The room beyond was lightless, the rest of the abondoned base would be at least partially underground.
Moving forward, into the empty room, he flipped the pike up. Activating the silver blade set five or six feet alit around him. What he could see appeared to be a common area, a few tables and some chairs. In the distance looked like a food synthesizer turned on its side. Maro could hear the vermin streaking around the light, away from him.
"Please show identifcation! Please show identification!" Maro walked under the doorway, past the outdated security probe, he flicked it away with the dull end of the pike  and continued on.
He was pulled right down the hallway, and left into a side room. It was a little bigger than a standard closet, with two shelf racks on either side. They'd left the medpacks and all. Maro threw them into a case he found and tucked it under one arm.
He turned around, to knock into a sober bored face. He hadn't felt him coming.
"This is a pleasant surprise. A young Jedi. Treasure hunting?"
Maro jumped back, managing to avoid singing his head with the lit pike.
"There are injured to be taken care of. I'll have to ask you to move along."
"Sorta rude to  leave your host so soon but understable, ya'll come back to talk to me. I mean it."
Maro walked past him and turned his head back,"It's Maro Rocol, I'm sure we'll meet again."
"Of course, Zai Gahn."
That name sounded too familiar. But he had a mission to accomplish. Maro moved on, watching his back. Zai didn't follow. In retrospect, he had been an idiot.
