Topic: Could Boba Fett beat the MEAN GREEN FIGHTING MACHINE?

In one of my other posts, this subject came up so i thought i'd start a whole new post on it since there are many who think highly of master yoda and of boba fett. So.....The discussion question here is, "IF YODA AND BOBA BATTLED, ARE YOU SO SURE THAT BOBA WOULD COME OUT ON TOP?????"    Boba did such an awesome job against one of the best......Darth Vader, but how well would he do against the mean green fighting machine??

Well, to be homest, I'd have to say that it would be a tie.

Hmmmmm.....i dont know     Its hard for me to see Boba Fett settling for a tie.....it think he'd almost rather lose.

I dissagree.This is the master of master jedis were talking about here! I think Yoda would beat him up pretty good, but I also think Boba would get out alive with a high score also.

I agree, and yes, Boba did breifly meet Yoda.  They meet in Star Wars: Galaxy of Fear #12, The Hunger, If you want to read about it.

Hmmmmm  i never read that book....but thats interresting. Was the confrontation one of hostility? (did they battle?). I would think that if they didnt fight, yoda was very wary and careful around him.......because he has worked with the empire a few times.......and would sell info to the empire for money. So he had to watch what he said if it was only a brief meeting.

Yes, it was hostile, but they didn't actually fight.  Yoda shouted "away put your wepon!" and Boba responded by shooting out a strand of clingwire from his wrist at yoda, but it accidentaly caught Yoda's walking stick instead.  Thinking he had Yoda, Boba jerked on the cord, and the sharp motion caused him to fall backwards into the cave that Luke had to enter.  When he climbed out, he didn't see Yoda again, so it wasn't actually a fight, and provides no real evidence as to the outcome of this battle.

I think Yoda would win by a nose, he's very powerful. Mind you I think Boba would put up a good fight.

they weren't that bad. ya know, they weren't the greatest, and were kinda written with children in mind not adults. But i think they were still ok.

This is a joke yoda would obviously destroy him in about 4 seconds flat.

Yoda may be fast, but Boba is a genius.  No one could outthink him, no matter how in tune with the Force they were.

i agree, no matter if it's a force powered jedi or a bunch of uber rancors, they are going to have some trouble outwitting and dealing with Fett. I also think some people make yoda to be more than he really is. Yes he is fast and force fluent, but when you're messing with Boba, it's a whole different matter. Windu had almost got fried with jango and his flamethrower, and we have already determined that Boba outdid his father, so i think Yoda would be in have a tough fight and eventual loss if he ran into Fett in a side alley.

Boba does have a pretty high Jedi kill list, and I think that's good enough to go against yoda.

Boba's unofficial statistics for intellegence is 10 on the transformer figure (If you want to know the rest, go to the how many figures thread).

Yup, and all of those jedi heads hangin' in Slave 1 is a good example of how he deals with jedi. I'm sure Fett would have some trouble if it was only a lightsaber duel....but then you add in the flamethrower/electrowhip/thermal dets/wrist rockets/etc.etc.etc.   Yoda gains a disadvantage to the fight......

i think it depends on the timeline. i think yoda would lose by a nose when he was older, but if it was new trilogy yoda, i think boba would put up a good fight, but ultimately be defeated by yoda

i think it would have to depend a little on the enviroment, witch combatant it suited more...like a closed in space so boba couldn't use his jetpack to great effect, and with lots of things to force throw around, and a large open space, so yoda would have a harder time trying to hit fett, and most of the things to throw are either bolted down or to heavy to throw with any effect.

yes     there are alot of factors that could turn the tide....but i don't think we need to get too complicated....  Lets say they fought in the middle of a tattoine desert....

Yoda is quite fast and swift.

Maybe he meant Yoda was mentally slow because he didn't figure out the Clone army thing earlier, or because he trusted Anakin too much.
