My wife just told me that Michael Turner passed away yesterday. Very sad. I didn't even know he had cancer at all. She was telling me that's why the comic book Fathom was always so late coming out, because of all the stuff he had to deal with, with the cancer treatments and all. I was checking out his wikipedia entry and I didn't realize how much stuff they had cut out of his body during the first surgery to get rid of it.

It sounds really, really painful. You'd think that with all the tech we have in the world today, that we would've found a cure for something that has been around for hundreds of years. For anyone who has lost anyone to cancer, then you'll understand, it's just a very sad thing to watch. I wish his family all the best through this.
